What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

An annoying FBG 6.8 this morning, after a v low carb day yesterday AND all my exercise rings closed. No logic to this thing.

Last night, I put on another Libre 2 to keep tabs on the detail in the lead up to my review with the GP. But it was giving crazy numbers overnight, so I’ll let it settle 24 hours before comparisons. A reading of 2.9 overnight, you’d think I’d be dead, or at least not very well
I gave up on my Libre, constantly giving weird crazy high then low numbers and I thought I was going to die :arghh:

back down to 6.6 today.

Going on a steam train tomorrow curtesy of my grandson but it includes a 3 course meal so going to have to be a little careful it was a birthday present a Virgin Experience day but they had over subscribed so had to be delayed till tomorrow.

Hi there,

I recently stopped posting my daily fasting bs here because, EVERY single morning, no matter what, my reading is somewhere between 4.0 - 4.5. My reading 2 hours after eating is almost always between 0.5 - 1.5 higher than whatever my morning fasting reading was.

I was diagnosed only at the end of April with an HbA1c of 105, and my first home reading a few days later was 11.00. I have made big changes to my diet, and I walk 4 or 5 miles every day (brisk walking), which I didn't do previously. My blood pressure, liver and kidney function tests, and my BMI were all good and well within normal range, so to be fair, the ability to step up the exercise wasn't hindered at all by my diagnosis.

Still, reading each day of people's struggles leaves me reluctant to be here day in and day out with a ....Hi all 4.2 this morning

As @MissMuffett says, don't stop posting. Success stories are music to our ears. @PenguinMum, don't listen to Libre. Doesn't sound too reliable to me. I've seen Muntjacks in the garden of our village hall which is on a busy High Street. I've rested well and feel much better ty. Bedtime 6.8. This morning 6.3. I'm delighted. I went off the rails but am now back on track. Have a great weekend but watch out for thunderstorms on Sunday.

Busy, busy, busy, but still testing, still ketoing and intermittent fasting.
6.3 Thursday, 6.1 Friday, and 6.1 again today. Those elusive 5s are teasing me, but encouraging to be seeing 4.8 late afternoons.
Keep on striving folks. I will.
