What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.3 today, not much changes for me, always between 5.7 and 6.3
was off a bit for a day so I had a good nap and took one day off the gym. Now I’m back to normal…
today was shoulders, biceps, chest and lots of walking. May get some thunderstorms today, so far only a few showers.
i made myself a little treat today, pumpkin muffins! I’m testing adding a few carbs back into my diet and these have about four carbs each. Made with almond flour, pumpkin, brown sugar swerve, butter and some eggs (spices of course) they seemed like a perfect treat! Haven’t tasted one yet but will report back.

It's good to know you're back to normal @Bcgirl.

Weather forecast here in the south of England doesn't look very clever. There were flash floods yesterday and there's more rain on the way tomorrow.

They sound lush .

I have the Libre and it only takes an hour for the reading to start .
Thanks, I have same and it did start in an hour however initial 3 hr readings were up and down like a yo-yo. It has finally settled I think. As expected just showing a steady rise from morning reading and so far not so spikey. Will compare with finger pricks and see how I get on. Not bleeding so much blood as with strip meter just a ton of cash with CGM, I hope it proves its worth. :)

The first one I had was of course the free trial ..have bought one since and will continue to do so ...very expensive but I count it as my treat ( instead of takeaways lol ) .My highest readings are all in the morning and these drop amazingly after walking .

They were, the recipe is fantastic…but, they didn’t seem to agree with me. I forgot to check my blood two hours after eating, but before bed it was 6.8….very high for me considering I ate only steak for dinner and we walked about three km after….(exercise never affects my glucose levels). i was a wee bit high this morning too, at 6.4. Kind of wish I had a Cgm on because I was honestly surprised at the readings last night. May try again, but maybe I’m one of those folks who can’t handle the sugar substitutes. I had the muffin, just one, with lots of butter too.
i do have a Dexcom g7 in my drawer but I’m saving it for when I really need it, at $90 a pop for only ten days it’s an expensive little toy. Hoping the new Dexcom Stelo comes to Canada soon….they are 15 days and quite a bit cheaper.
