6.3 this morning and still where I want it. Only 3 days left on the CGM and after that will take a break from here for a few days. Unfortunately under family pressure to "come back into the fold" for a few days over Christmas with regards to diet and also I have a couple of days around New Year where large volumes of liquid carbs will be on the menu.
At this time of year I know we all have our own difficulties and challenges of one type or another but good to know that this forum and support will still be here.

Morning All 7.7 today but I feel such a lot better after a good night’s sleep. @flonvic its not very high and only needs a little tweaking so you can do it. @ChrisT2 remember there’s lots of stuff at Christmas like meat, cheese, etc that can help you and nobody should persuade you to eat anything you’d rather not. Take care everyone, get better/stay well, if travelling stay safe.

6.8 this morning but steadily rose to 7.9 due to stress! Please enlighten me who has a window cleaner at 7:15am, in the pitch black dark! We so, want to move :banghead:
Only you

6,2 this morning, and the Great Eating starts this afternoon. Keto options aplenty though, thank god for my in-laws and their willingness to just have what we call "gourmetten" (table top grilling?) every year. Hope everyone's well, have a fab day!

7.1 this morning, Fully expected and thought it would be worse as unable to find any low carb options offered by the chinese restaurant. Only strategy was to keep portions as minimal as possible or avoid completely but that was not an option. Must admit to being secretly envious watching all those folks able to eat and drink anything and everything throughout the evening. Brings it home to me the different worlds we all move in.

Morning All so 7.0 could be better but also could be worse. @ChrisT2 when we have chinese t/a I have King Prawn, ginger & spring onion main course with a side of pak choi in oyster sauce and dish it up leaving the sweet liquid in the container and find it both filling and safe. Stick with it you’re doing great.
Take it easy and stay/get well everyone.

Morning all

Here it’s chilly. My blood did not want to leave my body this morning. It took two tiny, tiny droplets to give me a 5.7 on the contour next

The sun is out so it’ll brighten up

Have a good day if you can

If we scratch the surface, many people who don't have diabetes have other health problems that don't show or of which they are as unaware as I once was of my T2. They may be able to eat whatever they want and in whatever quantities but......after a certain life stage, almost all of us get health problems of one sort or another. Some of these are a great deal harder to manage than diabetes. But yeah - I absolutely get where you are coming from, and sometimes it is made unnecessarily difficult for us, where a little empathy or, failing that, consideration, would go a mighty long way.
