What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Flying yesterday

This morning four point nine on the contour next

I think the low number indicates how little plane food I could eat. ( small piece of chicken and something I think might have been an omelette )

I’ve edited this post after breakfast at the ibis hotel Heathrow.

Shockingly after three sausages three bacon and scrambled egg my glucose reading is now eight point seven !

Eight point seven !

I’m guessing whatever is in the sausages isn’t meat as I supposed

That won’t be happening again in a hurry
I stay away from sausages and all processed meats, even when I am traveling.

Morning All 8.4 which is disheartening again. Had Thai tapas yesterday and managed to get them to swap the rice for stirfried veg but inevitably there would have been sweetness in the other dishes. That was at 2pm so would have expected to be over it by now. Eating out is a minefield and I don’t want to ruin it for my companions. Out again today for Sunday lunch with son & DIL.
Happy Sunday everyone.

I’m back! Didn’t check my glucose today because yesterday was a very long travel day (or two) and food was just strange. The holiday was great and food was fairly good. I did sneak a few bites of goodies…but they were just bites. I had more fruit than usual, mostly because the fresh strawberries in Egypt were amazing! I ate a lot of cheese
blood sugar was higher than normal (i didn't check often) but never terrible. The last few days it was normal for me.
tomorrow I’ll do my glucose reading and hope I’m normal….
hope everyone is well.
