I know that I really don't like taking meds but have you thought about maybe trying some metformin . Just editing my reply as I can see others have made the same suggestion ....I m just catching up with postsMorning All. I am really scared. Yesterday was 9.8 today is 9.2. I was really restrained both days with seafood & salad lunch on Mothers Day and mixed salad yesterday though did have small amount of spaghetti with chilli meatballs last evening but done that before and got 7s. I am wondering if my incomplete pancreas has finally given up. Really scared, wish I could fast but will think about a restricted regime. Any suggestions welcome.
Yes breathing is a survival instinct I believeBreathing is my favorite hobby.
Belated birthday wishes7.1 today.Happy Birthday to me.
You blinked lolThankyou.I am now officially an oap! How did that happen?
Same here re avocado but they do seem to help lower BG .Missed a couple of days, still in the 5’s
Todays 5.3
Weirdly libre shows my b/s levels drop at 3am avery morning
Started eating an avocado with breakfast every day & so far b/s seems more stable (still don’t like them)
Surely not on its own6.8 this morning and avocado for breakfast![]()
I have very little or no stamina. Previously, my walk home from the High Street took ten minutes. This week, it was an hour—yuck.@Estragon, how are you keeping?
My Libre always gives low overnight readings anywhere between 2.5-3 mmol./l irrespective of whether newly fitted or not. However it always picks up and rises steadily until midday. irrespective of diet. I don't worry about what is considered "dangerous" overnight lows as I don't take insulin and my body always recovers on its own and I suppose it is just the way my particular diabetes works. On the plus side my finger stabs are always 1.5-2 mmol/l higher than the Libre so those lows are not really so low after all and as you say it is likely a querk of the Libre software.
Probably not a great idea to cancel the alarms permanently in your case if you are taking insulin but agree it wouldn't hurt the first night while the CGM settles in. Sleep well.![]()
Hug for the hypo land lows.i'll set alarm at 3.2 for this evening to see if that helps. this is what been dealing with today i'm currently ignoring readings unless sub 3.5 have done several fingerpricks (which takes me ages to do due to needlephobia) probably needs more time to settle lol finger prick tests always been a fair bit higher eg 3.6 at 12:50 actual glucose was 5.7
Its been a nice and sunny day where we were today as well. Mind you we had driven away from the coast into a different county. Of course in the UK that's only a few miles down the road. We were in a place called Little Ayton in Yorkshire quite picturesque. with a river running through it.5.38 Happy Fridaysurprisingly nice and sunny day. Have a nice day everyone
its ok its just libre lol always appears to screw around first 24-48 hours (recently) for me. Maybe it will be we different next time around when daughter attaches it rather than the nurse at the dr's surgery lol. One day i'll manage to put it on myself i'm sure just not ready for that Yet ;pHug for the hypo land lows.

Sat in a little park near the river and had fish and chips for lunch. All the batter scraped off the fish and no chips for me but I've got to say fish was lovely. Came home to the much cooler North East coast where I needed an extra jumper, Bloods were 6.4 post meal and following a cup of tea when I got home, so not too bad.
