What was your favourite moment of 2013?

The feeling of complete freedom of being able to take my top off in public when I went swimming for the first time after having my colostomy reversed.

I regained my faith in humanity, with the fund raising for the childrens trust, the generousity of people is overwhelming

everything else was **** lol roll on 2014 :)

In a funny way, mine was being diagnosed with diabetes, I now have a measure of health, that I was struggling with. Lost that bit of wight I needed to, getting fitter, eating well, and am meeting a lovely loyal group of friends thanks to this forum.

Yes looking back, it was a good day :pompous:

mine was as ians taking control and realising i got dreams i want to crack on with and to do them i need to get fitter and thinner lol alottttttttttttt thinner ahahh xx

Apart from becoming an aunt, I think my best moment was meeting my new diabetes specialist nurse... bit of a boring one maybe, but she is revolutionising my life and I cannot thank her enough. She's simply amazing! :p

well, in my case it wasn't being diagnosed T1.

Coming 33rd in a Fell race two days before bing diagnosed, maybe.

Other than that, not a lot really stands out apart from how quick the yar went.

My favourite moment came on May 1st when I married the wonderful man I'd met on the internet 11 years earlier and had been living with for 10 years. Still can't get over the fact that after all that time, he still wanted to marry me! And I got such a kick out of being a 60+ bride.

Mine was being confirmed to get a pump in the new year x happy 5 year wait over

Not sure when I started reading on here and probably sounds a bit cheesy but....Finally getting my act together with regards to my diabetes, accepting that even though I'm a retired registered nurse, my knowledge of diabetes and its management is ****!....and discovering that it is possible to teach your Grannie to suck eggs! :)

Finally returning to operational duty in Sept after diagnosis in Jan ! Initially thought I would lose my job and had to jump through a lot of hoops to get there ! Worth it though.

Getting engaged in December, or my nephews birth on 3rd April.... Or nieces birth on 30th December!

Oh and watching another nephew reach his 1st birthday on 21st December. He was born 7 weeks premature and we were told to prepare for the worst because they thought his lungs would be weak because he look small. Hes now running about like he owns the place without a health issue in sight proving everyone wrong!

Like others have said, being diagnosed with diabetes last June. It has given me a kick up the backside into going on a much needed diet., eating healthily and exercise. I've lost loads of weight so far and intend to lose lots more this year. I've dropped 2 dress sizes so all my clothes are baggy now but best of all was being able to get back in my jeans again comfortably, which I've not been able to wear for the past 3 years.

My favourite moment of 2013 ? 11:59pm on 31st December, when there was only 1 minute of that horrid ruddy year left!!
Was one of the worst years of my life.
