Why Do We Get Diabetes?

Illness - can cause diabetes too .
I got it straight after battling off both pnuemonial
then septis infections then BAM diabetic .
Felt completely robbed if truth be told .
Battled my way back through that lot - then BAM DIABETES

I became diabetic straight after pneumonia but wasn't told till end of jan. When I asked my doc if the pneumonia could have brought on the diabetes he laughed

Diabetes is illness silly

Its good to have a doctor with a sense of humour.

We had a thread about certain illness's possibly causing
or being linked with diabetes a while back .
It really helped me and showed a lot of interesting relevant factors too .

Certain illness's and diabetes can sometimes be related .
Both my GP and DSN agrees this was/is the case with myself .

Shame your GP wasnt as understanding with yourself Scandichic .

So fact my nana mam and aunt and my sister all have it means I didn't get much choice.now wish I'd took better care of myself
