Is my blood sugar level normal?
A number of factors can affect blood sugar levels, including: your activity levels, your carbohydrate intake, stress and illness, alcohol consumption, missing a medication dose and/or missing an insulin injection.

Check your blood sugar levels and see whether they are in the range according to the NICE recommendations for type 1 & type 2 diabetes.

With 2 days of sunshine, you'd be forgiven for thinking about summer holidays. If you are in search of warmer climes, make sure you're insured with a free + instant online travel quote.

There is a fair amount to consider for people with diabetes when planning a holiday. Ensuring you take plenty of medication is a given, but there are other items you may need to pack for your trip.

Every person with diabetes also needs to disclose their condition when purchasing travel insurance. Travel insurance is an essential purchase for people with diabetes because it can help cover the cost of medicines such as insulin should there be an unexpected emergency while abroad.

If you’re flying, it’s also worth being aware of airline food, too. Otherwise it’s better to bring your own healthy food with you!
