Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

actually I take that back, because I am now feeling pretty miserable about it...

09.30 B = Bacon & Scrambled Eggs & Black Pudding & Beans & 2 Slices of wholemeal toast
(this was at the Treacle Mine before my Diabetes Support Group)
15.45 L = Bacon & Brie & Cranberry on Foccacia
(at this stage I was starving and McDonald's was calling me and I don't know what to do about eating out in cafe's)
20.30 D = Asparagus & Baby Corn & Cauliflower & Roast Chicken with a Glass of Red wine
then I had Blueberries with Double Cream
I also had 2 bars of 'Divine Caramel Dark Chocolate' Bars and scoffed them like a junkie

My daily calorie goal is 1200 I earned 934 in walking today but I ate over 2000

its not my tummy I want to feed - its my mouth & my tastebuds... :p:depressed::dead:

Seems reasonable to me theres a Toby's carvary down the road from me that does all you can eat breakfasts daren't go near the place.
 
3 rashers of bacon fried egg and 2 slices of livlong bread

Beef in low carb tortilla with pepper mushroom onion avocado salsa verde goats cheese and 2 glasses of red wine . BG went from 8.3 before to 8.4 2 hours later. So this is a safe recipe
 
In my experience, 2 hours testing for pizza simply isn't enough. It's very sneaky, that combination of high cab floury base + high fat, cheesy toppings.

For me, pizza didn't give me an horrendous rise, but the number stayed elevated for quite some time.
It was down to 7.3 just before I went to bed. The spike was 2 hours after but not as huge as I was expecting (that's my last pizza til at least July)
 
Black coffee
40 mins treadmill in the gym (where else?)
9 a.m. - second gym session
10.15 - 1 whole egg, 5 egg whites (omelette) two slices of bacon
Lunch - roast lamb, two small yorkshire puddings. On roast potatoe. cauliflour. Water
Dog walk
Afternoon snack - small granola bar (I needed it) double espresso
Tea - pea soup and roast lamb
I will eat some blue cheese later (treat) and 2 sq or Lindt 90 dark chocolate
This is all after a week end where I have had 5 gym sessions since Friday evening.
(T2, Oct 15, diet, exercise, metformin. Lost over 90 lbs so far and 8 inches on my waist)

Extra 3 x Blonde Pale Ales at the footy (only 1g carb each)

Calories 1466 (A big day for me)

Nirvanha!.I'm looking at this and thinking, change the beer for scotch (shots not bottles), the footy for rugby and that would be a great way to spend a sunday

L Lidl roll and tuna mayo
D Chicken, 2 boiled eggs,coleslaw and salad.

Funny day today, normally have either breakfast or lunch on a weekend, but today I was ravenous within an hour of breakfast.
Now after dinner feel totally stuffed :greedy:

Well it was Rugby League the Canberra Raiders had a 1 point win great game. Our local Rugby side the Brumbies played in Perth this week so had to watch on the idiot box. Had a good win as well

Thankfully less than yesterday but I'm having self control issues, the word moderation is out the window. I'm going to try walking in the morning before work, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

L 3 x Ham & Cheese sandwiches (Lettuce for Bread)
D Chilli Con Carne with Cauliflower rice for the first time (pretty good although you could put concrete under my chilli and you wouldn't taste it)

today I had:
B = Greek yoghurt with walnuts
L = i/2 cold roast chicken breast and lettuce
D = roast chicken thigh with broccoli and green beans in a pesto dressing. Delicious.
 
B yoghurt and berries
L half a Lidl protein roll with scrambled eggs
D chicken and mushroom stir fry with kale and beansprouts
S half an avocado and a handful of Brazil nuts
This was the first time I tried the protein roll - I was quite impressed. Pre lunch reading 6.0, post lunch reading (after a 90 minute walk) was 6.9. Woo hoo! Tomorrow I'm going to try the same lunch but without exercise
Did you find your readings were similar even though you didn't exercise?
