Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

Hi everyone well today I had egg on toast for breakfast, ham salad for dinner and grilled pork steak with a few boiled potatoes (2 small cut in half) and vegetables for tea BG 13.2 think potatoes really spiking me and I really love potatoes in any form boiled mash jacket
 
My fasting blood glucose this morning was 6.9 mmol and then I had 2 bananas and 5 glasses of tap water and it was 5.4 mmol.
 
Holidays have started and we're having a week away-and that means hotel buffet breakfasts! I'm not going to test this week, do intend to be reasonably controlled in what I eat but will fully in holiday mode. So, on the trip down south today I had:
BF-2 fried eggs with bacon and 2 slices of buttered wholewheat toast
L- crab fried rice with a fried egg and tom yum gung (sour and spicy prawn soup)
D- cashew salad and 5 pints lager
Let's see what tomorrow brings
 
B: 120g Natural yogurt (98 calories, 8 carbs, 5 fat, 5.5 protein). BS before eating 8.1, two hours after 6.6.

L: Chicken sandwich on brown bread and a pear (386 calories, 40 carbs, 5 fat, 44 protein). BS before eating 7.2 (had been on a long walk), didn't check two hours after as out on another walk!

EM: Cottage pie with cauliflower cheese, carrots & peas. (405 calories, 34 carbs, 17 fat, 25 protein). BS before eating 6.2, two hours after 6.0.

Daily totals: 889 calories, 82 carbs, 27 fat, 74.5 protein.

2 fried egg sandwiches with tomato ketchup
Chicken wings with battered prawns
4 cups of tea with sweetener
 
3 cups of builders tea with a splash of whole milk
Brunch: De-constructed Burger, Salad leaves, 2 home made burgers (Beef mince, onion, garlic, parsley bind with egg and then griddled), cheddar, chopped sour gerkin, and lots of mayo.

Tonight we are having griddled pork chops with a tomato, cucumber, onion and flat leaf parsley salad and feta cheese.
 
Breakfast 1 Avocado with 2 slices of Parma ham. 1/2 cup chai tea (no milk)
Lunch: Chilli and Corriander prawns (10 small), half small ball mozzarella cheese, lots of mxd lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes, 1 spring onion, sprinkling of mixed seeds. Drizzled with a little extra virgin olive oil. Cup ordinary tea, no milk.
Tea will be smoked kipper with spinach, broccoli spears and butter. Pudding of 6 raspberries, 6 blueberries, 2 tablespoons double cream and 2 of Greek yogurt.
Drinking water flavoured with lemon and lime slices and frozen to last longer!



Is that ok for a LCHF? No snacking inbetween meals :)
 
13 glasses of tap water.
Roasted chicken slices and 1 chicken wing, roasted potatoes, steamed, salted cauliflower florets and steamed, salted garden peas and gravy made in the vegetable water with chicken juices.
1 Can of Diet Pepsi.
Blood glucose reading:- 8.5 Millimoles Per Litre.
 
Been hitting 5's all day .... smoked salmon, cheesy scrambled eggs for breakfast - mushroom soup and an avocado for lunch - tonight I'm trying LCHF Cauliflower cheese for first time, with some steak.

Also had a sneaky snack of 2 square of 85% chocolate!

Made my first LCHF cauliflower cheese tonight - loved it!

Thank you @Lindy1706 for the recipe - just used cream, dash of mustard powder and grated cheese. I added bacon lardons, it was delicious! We ate around half, saving the rest for tomorrow. Think it will become a staple now

Looks really nice. Something else to try.
