@13lizanne - @mo53 - @ickihun - @debrasue got to Hospital at 10.50am for my Appointment at 11am and was told the Consultant was running 45 minutes late! (had height, weight, blood pressure done by the Nurse) I was finally seen by the Liver Specialist at 11.50am was given a quick examination of my Abdomen and told the results of the Fibroscan I had in February was medium level and cause for some concern. So, I have to undergo an Ultrasound Scan to see just how much scarring of my Liver there is, if the results are not clear enough, then I will have to undergo a Liver Biopsy. Was given 2 Blood request forms and sat and waited another bloody hour to have bloods done for: LFT, Thyroid, Iron Toxicidity, Coeliac Screen, Antinuclear Antibodies, and Hepatitis A - B - C. So, just waiting for the Ultrasound Scan appointment now.
And this is to @ickihun - in 3 days of increasing my evening Insulin I have put on 3lbs (my weight done by the Nurse said I am 13st 3lbs - and I took my Boots off too!) So, Insulin is being decreased as from today. I am even contemplating using up the 28 tablets of Dapagliflozin? Earliest appointment to see my GP is the 20th June, since stopping the Dapagliflozin by evening by feet and ankles are swollen with Odema (need Diuretics). That's it folks.:)
Oh William, you poor thing - I'm so sorry you've had such a sh***y day. I'm keeping everything crossed for some good results from all those horrible tests for you. I can sympathise with your odema, too, which is certainly the cause of your weight gain. Keep your chin up, hun, and take some time to be good to yourself. I hope R is looking after you.....
Big, BIG hugs xxx

Well done @magsiesss . I too was not impressed with gym intro. They've wrote to me for an update. I will update them at their pace and with lack of working equipment.
I don't think gp will refer me again but it was horrendeous.

I am doing something wrong ... I am paying £35 a month for this membership!

The equipment they have is top notch and you can log your activities with the smart card - all very high tech - I hope my new earphones arrive so I can hook in to TV whilst I train ...

Mmm, post swim I was up at 8.0 today, down to 7.3 though 30 minutes later. Have to accept numbers will be a bit random post stopping meds I think - will stick to LCHF religiously this week, swim every day, cut out the booze - and hopefully MySugr won't be showing such a high average next week.

I know it's not that bad, just got used to those 5's :):)

Don't be despondent:)

I am sure with your level of determination and a really strict approach to LCHF just to give you that extra umph, you'll soon see your numbers lower and stabilise.:)

Thanks. I'm just been focused now on keeping going, doing what I have been - and hoping the numbers stabilise again. @ickihun gave me a talking to earlier, I won't feel sorry for myself and just be positive ... no more Metformin! Yay!

hi all now the eye drops are wearing off my vision is getting back to normal I can now see what I'm typing
yet another hurdle has been placed in my path on this life of type 2 my retinopathy screening didn't go as I hoped as have multiple small bleeds in both eyes and a large bleed in my left eye as well as multiple white spots in both eyes .
was told that now have to play the waiting game again while they check over my results to decide on what treatment if any they will offer me but they seemed more concerned about the large bleed in my left eye as was clearly visible on the photo's without any magnification and like the other bleeds it was a long sausage like shaped bleed.
thanks all for your continued support

Thank you @PenfoldAPD and @debrasue for your kind words starting to get to point that I now dread going for these tests and get yet another problem to deal with .

6 sounds like a pretty good average to me! But you might want to canvas someone with more experience..... @ickihun ? @liam1955 ? @13lizanne ?
Keep the boots polished........... KTBP - the new partner to LCHF! :joyful:

Hi @maureen5752 , yes it's a great number Maureen. There's a conversion chart somewhere on the main site which tells you how that converts to a HbA1c if you hang on I'll go and find it but I do know offhand that it translates to a 5 point something. Back in a mo. Anna x
