I have just started taking vitamin K2 so I dont know how it will affect me, but since diabtics are so prone to get blood clothing I thought I´d start already to try to prevent that, and I have alot of gout isues too, maybe I can stop those from progressing by taking vitamin k2 ... don´t know time will show... I have still not had the guts to eat those strong milk thistle pill you know about

Hi William my calcium level was 2.21 on my last blood test which is noted inkeeping with a good level for my stats. Adults over 40 should be below 2.60
The calcium blood level is regarding calcium for bones. A recent Ct Calcium in arteries scored me 19 which id like to reduce to below 10. My blood could show 2.21 still but arteries congestion could be/is 19.
Thanks @Freema for the links too.

Ooh, yet more things to measure ..... can anyone tell yet that I'm an accountant ; she said grinning .......as hubby would say - if there is more than one of it - I will count it.- its just a pity I spent 40 years counting the wrong damned thing !

Me too. At least that was my second profession. It was way too inactive for my developing Diabetes and depression issues so I went back to school after 10 years. First profession was child care worker and third is counselor (and caregiver for mom).

10 St 13 Lb or so my scales tell me this morning. Can't remember ever being below 11 St in the last 46 years. Got to sort a maintenance diet out.
Can you add more fat? And a few carbs without raising your BG?

well with the benefit of hindsight working 14 hour days sat on my bum was not the most sensible thing to do, its pretty amazing that I didn't drop dead at the time to be honest :) still onwards and upwards - each kilo is a victory!

Looks like I'm going to have to try that maybe a bit at a time and see what happens.
Though yesterday had a very carby meal for me and more calories than usual and still lost weight over night.

Will have to be more diligent with logging my food again.

that's spectacularly good !
Thank you. However, if you knew me personally say 6 months ago to today, I think you wouldn't recognise me as the same person.

Before my T2 diagnosis I was a fat very lazy slob. I would not move from the couch to even get a beer. I ate a lot of rubbish food, with a particular hankering for high sugar desserts. I drunk beer like it was going out of fashion.

Now I average over 100km a week walking, I do LCHF & IF, I don't drink beer just the occasional red wine.

Being diagnosed T2 was probably the best thing that could have happened to me.

Have a great weekend everyone..

I think it was the best thing that happened to me too Whilst I didn't eat rubbish and I did exercise, I was and still am enormous (relative to normal) lol - diabetes has opened up a whole new healthy world to me and LCHF a gustatory delight after years of self denial ! half way there now Thank God I found here !

@CherryAA people have to work. Someone has to put the hours in. Unfortunately that was you, @jonbvn and me. I guess a few more. Long working hours and shift work are very damaging without exercise. My grandad exercised inbetween sitting in his crane. My dad parked his van away from the prisons, schools/collages/universities and hospitals when he was fixing their gas boilers.
We are encouraged to sit and work. Work and work.
I sold train tickets to city commuters for hours and hours like a battery hen. Sat on long train journeys for pleasure!

yeah - its amazing how you fall into the trap my staff used to marvel at how long I could sit at a computer focusing on something. These days I try to do the exercise before I sit down!

83.5 kg on the scale at the gym, the only one I have access to that measures in kg or lbs. That was on Tuesday. I think I may start reporting in kg because I have no emotional attachment to numbers in kg.
I shut my computer off and move around-if I leave it on I keep sitting and finding something online to interest me.

It's not fair ! Lost 1lb down to 6 stone 8 If anyone knows where it is can you let me know cos I don't want to have to buy another thermal vest !!
