The Power of Positivity

My positive moment for yesterday (Thursday) was my son going for a job interview and being told that he had the job. My son only applied on Tuesday and had the interview yesterday. It's just a little part time job whilst he's at college and it will be his first job. I couldn't be more proud, happy and pleased for him.
Very many congratulations to your son - he must be very chuffed with himself. A five-smile award for you both!

Liquorice and aniseed (especially the tracer I have to drink in hospital before a CT scan - yuk!)
Today was an ordinary day for me, except this thread reminded me of a quote (like one of @Kat100's):

"Today’s the greatest day you’ve ever lived.

Today’s the only day you’ve ever lived.

The past is gone, the future is far, nothing else matters, except where you are."

I just took my dog for a walk AND it wasn't cold or wet :)

I'm ignoring tomorrow's stormy forecast: "Doris" sounds friendly!

People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
Odd to some people but I'm finally up to a size 10!! Yaaaay!!
Hubby got my jeans unpacked from the loft after 16 months of really struggling to put some weight on..may not have all my top half but my bottom half has finally returned to having a bit of roundness and comfort!!! Chuffed to bits...

My thanks have to go to my cancer thrapy unit that have seen me through so much. RH is abbreviation of my cancer therapy unit... nothing to do with the slice, dice n fry that the cancer surgeons and nurses did....my positive thought for today..

So heres my poem to them!!

Tears of sorrow have turned
to tears of laughter
Now new ways have been learned
The journey has been hard
But my emotions
are no longer scarred
The staff are wonderful
Their individual care superb
Now my life is more colourful
Their care exceeds excellent
For me to laugh and smile again
I am a good living testament
To all at RH Centre
And their wonderful care.

That's really beautiful. You are a massive inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others on the forum and I am so glad that you have people like those in the RH centre in your life to inspire you, too. I know it's a cliche, but none of us grow when things are easy - we only have an opportunity to shine when things get tough, and your words bring that to life. Thank you for sharing it.
And congratulations on the size 10 jeans!
