Happy birthday! BTW oppo is the best!!I'm celebrating my 1st diabetes birthday this weekend with oppo ice cream and sugar free milk chocolate
Very many congratulations to your son - he must be very chuffed with himself. A five-smile award for you both!My positive moment for yesterday (Thursday) was my son going for a job interview and being told that he had the job. My son only applied on Tuesday and had the interview yesterday. It's just a little part time job whilst he's at college and it will be his first job. I couldn't be more proud, happy and pleased for him.
That's a hat-trick right there - a full English, a best friend, and Spring flowers. Perfect!Had a yum full English (,no beans or toast) at the garden centre this morning with my best friend - beautiful view from window of spring flowers...
Hello dear @Ledzeptt ..Today was an ordinary day for me, except this thread reminded me of a quote (like one of @Kat100's):
"Today’s the greatest day you’ve ever lived.
Today’s the only day you’ve ever lived.
The past is gone, the future is far, nothing else matters, except where you are."
-Neil Pasricha

I love getting new clothes - it always puts a sunny slant on the day!The new top and jeans I ordered a week ago arrived.I'm so stoked with how they look on me!
Clothes shopping has always been hard for me due to my size (6'1" tall and 275-280lbs) and it feels super good when I find stuff that looks good! I'm all giddy about this.
That's really beautiful. You are a massive inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others on the forum and I am so glad that you have people like those in the RH centre in your life to inspire you, too. I know it's a cliche, but none of us grow when things are easy - we only have an opportunity to shine when things get tough, and your words bring that to life. Thank you for sharing it.Odd to some people but I'm finally up to a size 10!! Yaaaay!!
Hubby got my jeans unpacked from the loft after 16 months of really struggling to put some weight on..may not have all my top half but my bottom half has finally returned to having a bit of roundness and comfort!!! Chuffed to bits...
My thanks have to go to my cancer thrapy unit that have seen me through so much. RH is abbreviation of my cancer therapy unit... nothing to do with the slice, dice n fry that the cancer surgeons and nurses did....my positive thought for today..
So heres my poem to them!!
Tears of sorrow have turned
to tears of laughter
Now new ways have been learned
The journey has been hard
But my emotions
are no longer scarred
The staff are wonderful
Their individual care superb
Now my life is more colourful
Their care exceeds excellent
For me to laugh and smile again
I am a good living testament
To all at RH Centre
And their wonderful care.
I just took my dog for a walk AND it wasn't cold or wet
I'm ignoring tomorrow's stormy forecast: "Doris" sounds friendly!
