What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

They are a really good bunch this year aren't they? Was sorry to see Anita leave, but great to see Steve back on top. Love Giovanna and Saliha too - hope they all do well tonight, I wouldn't like to have to choose.
We want Steve to win, I like Giovanna but a couple of times Saliha has been a bit too cocky like in group round when she said she could 'knock these out in my sleep' to Steve. Saliha WILL win though I think, they love her
despite lack of diversity?
 
B Fasting for blood test
Brunch Eggy breads with home-made herby flatbread, tomatoes, last bit of black pudding
L Still full
Snack Slice of flatbread, warmed
D Poached salmon, steamed veg, mushroom & ginger sauce
 
Improvement but still in yukville 6.3 bed FBG 6.1 but made 7.9 pre breakfast still bug ridden so not too bothered. Aqua helped - nice and steamy and it got the BG way down.
B. Boiled egg, lettuce , tomato, ox tongue, helmanns and Tassimo morning coffee with cream.
L. Yesterday's leftover Thai red curry with salmon and prawns
D. Another salad ox tongue, bit chicken breast, extra lean corned beef, ham , lettuce, Vittoria tomatoes, boiled egg, 1/2 avocado, helmanns.
5 strawberries and sugar free jelly.
Still on loads of water and paracetamol.
 
Struggling a bit today. Could do with staying in but babysitting calls. At least when the boys are in bed they stay there. Bed 6.5 FBG 6.6 and pre breakfast was 7.8. Been hanging about mid 6's low 7's all day.

D. Poaçhed salmon, prawns, avocado and lettuce

D. M&S chicken tikka pieces. Chorizo crisps. Strawberries, raspberries and cream.
 
Evening. A lot of chicken today. And a lot of walking - 17,600 steps.

Breakfast - skipped.

Lunch - Nando's. 5 plain wings and salad.

Dinner - Roast chicken, half a baked onion, broccoli with butter; 2 squares Lindt 90% (no 85% in Waitrose this morning).

In the interest of science ... BG was 6.5 at lunch, 7.8 before tea and 8.5 three hours after tea so I had a square of 81% chocolate ... 7.2 within 30 minutes!

*Giant shell-on prawns, from Tesco remainders shelf. I didn't know what they were till I got home and opened the packet.
 
Do you make the chorizo crisps? If so how ?
Is it the M&S chorizo crisps? I saw them today beside the various bits of chicken near the deli meats. They have chorizo crisps , pork crisps, bacon crisps, salami crisps. I've had all of them apart from chorizo. I like the bacon , pork is one for lovers of scratching, salami is not crisp apart from the edges but very addictive. ( Just passing the time until son and DIL get home so I can go home to my bed)
 
Despite not being 100% yet BG is stabilising again (maybe I should stay out until 1am more often). Bed in early hours 6.2 FBG 6.6 and pre breakfast was 6.8. Very much in the 'green' all day with readings. And it's Sunday .......prosecco day

B. Stuck to cold stuff - nice on the throat. Lettuce , 1 san manzano tomato, boiled egg, 8 fresh anchovy halves, tablespoon prawns and 4 mozzarella pearls.
L. 2 Walnuts and Tassimo morning coffee and a dash of cream
D. Usual campari and soda and a wee prosecco.
Hoi sin duck with spring onion and cucumber but no pancakes for me
Paprika beef with mushrooms and red pepper. Steamed broccoli and cauliflower rice. Pad Thai noodles for the carbers.
Lemon meringue pie for the carbers I'll have 2 strawberries with some cream (Well they are the M&S king strawberries - have you seen the size of those things!)
Boys were exceptionally good last night. Allowed them to stay up a bit later but they went off to bed when told and no nonsense).
 
Exercise filled weekend. 17,600 steps yesterday and 25,200 today, including regular game of walking football.

Pre-breakfast - tried 1 square of Lindt 90% to see if it would bring blood sugar level down. Didn't work and New tub of strips seems to be running about 1 mmol higher than normal.

Breakfast - crustless quiche

Lunch - tuna mayo with rocket and baby plum tomatoes

Dinner - lemon sole fillet fried in butter with a squeeze of lemon juice; sautéed courgette and onion; 1 square of Lindt 90%
 
Cheese omelette and mushrooms

Mug of Bovril (my appetite seems to have dropped alarmingly - not complaining but surprised)

Five frikadella meatballs with broccoli and cauliflower with melted butter on top

May have a 1/2 Lidl roll with some cheese for supper
