Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and Elephants, elephants ??? I have no idea where that came from, but morning to them also.

A 6.9 for me this morning, much much better than yesterday's grotty 5.3 which truly screwed my day.

Well folks have a good one, for me I have a second ECG planned the first was on Friday, I think this time they might have to shave me to get a better contact. I have more body hair than an orangutan as the librarian in Terry Pratcett's books would say Ook.

Edit ****ing auto correct how does one turn it orf

@alf_Josiah Glad to see your bg is more to your liking today and best wishes for your ECG. (ECG doth conjure images of JRM in full nincompoopery)

Thanks, but JMR in nincompoopery ??? I might just have to look that up.

Edit
Looked up lol, I said my upbringing was sheltered, shoplifting, house breaking, safe cracking etc were the specialist subjects at my shool.
Still none the wiser on JMR.

Morning all late start this morning as working late tonight, but a better 8.1, still not good but I ran a 50% temp basal last night after a strenuous training session and didn't fancy eating the fridge at 2am :) when the hypo fairies turned up.

Take care everyone.

6.1 this morning. HbA1c and general poking, prodding and finger waving this morning with Dora the diabetic nurse, a huge, trunchbull of a person, with a penchant for doughnuts :)
Should be interesting to see what overindulging on a cruise ship will bring.

Have a great day if you can :)
Have you ever noticed the people telling us to loose weight, stop smoking and drinking are often overweight, smoke and drink more than the recommended amount!! :)

Good luck for your ECG! I had one a while ago, the connecting stickers kept falling off but it got there in the end. (Not due to body hair as I am female, but maybe I was sweating a bit or something). Hope everything works for you this time!

Some uplifting posts today which will brighten the gloom of my Fenland lair. 5.2 for me today which is the highest after 36 hrs fasting so far and above my fasting average. I guess something is amiss (good old Denis).
@DJC3 Wonderful news and you deserve it - Jersey Royals today methinks! @flexi06 glad to hear you feel better and I too had seen links between bp tablets and problems when low carbing and improving health markers. @Goonergal our paths seem to have bifurcated lately. You are streaking off like Mo F on speed and I am limping along in diving boots:banghead: @Mbaker great stats and really good info - obviously some of us need to scale carefully but careful analysis of others lifestyle brings progress cf @DJC3 @dunelm I imagine you to be more than a match for MsT and her Krispy Kremes:angelic:
Hi @ianpspurs I have my Spurs shirt on at the gym this morning, which caused a few comments. You are still doing really well, but I sense you would like some more. I am not the finished article by far as I have added almost about half a kilo in fat which I know is down to the increased cheese intake recently (sadly for me it seems excessive cheese cannot be on my schedule), but at the same time I have increased lean mass and have my lowest BP reading of 118 / 73 (which I put down to boiled ginger and cinnamon and maybe the cold overnight refrigerated tea).

Have you considered changing single aspects of your regime i.e. elimination, it could be one aspect. So for example my recent run of 4.0's fbg is on less walking (circa 15 k against 20 k plus, my leanest was when I was averaging 15 k), with no what I call finisher sessions (weights or walking in the late evening), I am therefore not elevating blood glucose again due to another exercise input (or is it my extra focus on more sleep) - this is what might have been giving me HbA1c's higher than expected. I am annotating my Fitbit and Nokia data more, which will help me hone my protocol. Hope these ideas help, but don't forget you already have excellent control.

@Mbaker An excellent choice of gymwear - sorry @Goonergal. Thanks for taking the time to reply with such helpful advice. You are right that I am striving for better - personally I think that is what life is all about. Earlier in the year I was in a sweet spot almost without trying and annoyingly I can't get back there - but I think it is the trying that is the problem. (All my big chanceless innings when I played cricket seemed to come with no effort)
I am coming to the end of a 6 month testing period and feel like some tweaks are needed so your advice is timely. Hopefully in July I will have more information from MRI and can put a plan in place for the next 6 months I can't thank you enough for your help but mostly for taking the time - the resource we can never get back.

I shall retaliate by wearing my new Arsenal away shirt (the new home one is horrid) on my next gym visit.
