Today my article about losing weight and controlling my type 2 is published in a national magazine! Chat interviewed me last month and now it’s finally gone to press :happy:
Glad to have got plugs in for DCUK and the low carb program :)
I really hate my ‘fat’ photo , as it makes me look so old and unwell, but I eventually agreed to it being published because actually that’s how I felt so it’s the truth! I feel younger and way more healthy now. As I’ve said many times before my type 2 diagnosis has been a blessing in disguise.

Blimey Rachel, that is some transformation! Incredible. Congratulations and well done on getting your story out there in a national magazine, and extremely brave of you to do it. Extremely brave. Your family must be so proud of you, because we all are. :)
 
OMG!!!! this article is fabulous. I love how it's a letter to you from you! What a great way to come at it. The 4 photos show clearly your journey from fitness to fatness (for want of a better word , don't want to offend but it went perfectly) and back. Your beautiful wedding day photo I love. And look how happy and confident you are on your latest! Not to mention slim!!! Non of us like sharing our before pics but so many people will be saying 'that's me!' And compare themselves to you that really it was essential for maximum impact. That together with the details of how you were feeling. You are not just back, but backwith a vengeance. A complete new you with a different mindset and way of life. And look!
Its an excellent article Rachel in a very popular magazine. Just think how many people will read it!!! It should say somewhere how many copies were sold last edition I think.

Well done for putting yourself out there for the cause. To help others, you all over. You amazing lady.

Amazing Rachel you superstar you. It’s not very easy to put your before photos out there but it really makes such an impact so so worth it!
Great too that it’s a fairly high circulation mag rather than a specialist mag this really gets the message out there. Notice too it’s often there in dentists waiting rooms, hairdressers etc so you can guarantee it will get picked up and read by many people out there. It’s a good casual style too for a very serious topic so that will probably engage more people too. Well done you your family and friends must be really proud and I know that all your forum friends will be really delighted for you. Well done you.
