I read Bacon and sausages? is bad for diabetics tho?
Bacon is your new best friend. It's perfectly fine for diabetics, and this one has it once or twice a day. I never have a baconless day.

(And yes, my cholesterol is fine, my HbA1C is non-diabetic, and I dropped over 50 pounds. On BACON!!!

) So yeah, bacon, cheese, full fat greek yoghurt, double cream, walnuts, pecans, mayonaise, eggs, avocado, proper butter, meat, fish (just had a lovely salmon dinner myself), cauliflower rice, broccoli, leafy greens/veggies (the non-starchy kind, so no beans!!!). Have some berries, (and I do mean some, not entire bowl-fulls) but no other fruits besides avocado that is.... If you're lacking potassium, a regular supplement from Holland & Barrett's will do perfectly fine without ruining your bloodsugars. But hey, if you don't like popping pills, an avocado has potassium too, and more than a banana does per 100 grams of fruit! What else... Uh... Extra dark chocolate (Lindt 85% is nice!), hummus in moderation... Just do yourself a favour and stay away from bread, pasta, corn, rice, potatoes and other fruits. Once you have given your pancreas a break for a while maybe you can try some of those things again in moderation, when your pancreas struggles a little less to keep up, and there's less sugar stored in your liver... But for now... While your sugars have improved quite a bit, (Yay, you!) there's still much to be gained. Just make sure you ENJOY what you eat. I've found that real food, rather than processed, pre-made meals, are much tastier and more enjoyable. And if you need recipies, just head over to dietdoctor.com.
