I bet Mr C was distraught but an amazing story. I gave mine to my son to look after but never told Mrs P and swore him not to either.I also had Mr C’s wedding ring made and engraved by a friend’s dad. Didn’t stop Mr C losing it after 3 days while we were on honeymoon. We went swimming in the sea at Slapton in Devon and it slipped off in the water. We thought of borrowing a metal detector from a local field centre, but There are still unexploded bombs around there so we couldn’t do that and its a pebbly beach - the water and the sun glinting on the pepples made everything glitter. He was quite upset, I was in 2 minds - to hug him or hit him!
I still wonder if a lucky fisherman ever found it in the gut of a cod.
Have a great family meal and cherish those boys. Interesting about the ring. Mine now falls off very easily but I don't trust altered body shape to hold so outside I always wear trousers or shorts with a zip pocket (for the ring) and sometimes now wear gloves. Learned that the hard way felling trees. My dad and grandfather would look askance at glove wearing.@Ziggy2017 really hope your health and headaches improve. @Goacher55 and @karen8967 hope you both start to feel better after those lows.
@rhubarb73 respect for the run. I am lucky to be able to get around these days. Hope you enjoy it. Lovely day here am going to tidy up the flower pots while waiting for the boys to arrive. Roast dinner at 5pm looks likely.
@DJ3 gosh that must have been so upsetting. I lost my ring a couple of months ago because of lost weight and didnt know if I had lost it out or in the house. After backtracking my movements in the house an hour later when I was about to give up it turned up in the freezer! Needless to say it has since been made smaller.
Morning all sorry I haven’t posted for a few days I just haven’t been at myself my cough is keeping me up at night and I’ve been having horrible headaches for a few days so I’m wearing my glasses to try and help that. This mornings blood sugars are 4.9 (libre) and 4.8 (meter) enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone because before you know it it will be the day we all dread Monday
I think we should have started a thread on lost weight and rings lol. After your tale I hope you are considering making it smaller In case you lose it altogether. I had been to Sainsburys and I knew if I had lost it out I wouldnt have got it back. Mine was a specially commissioned diamond ring not my wedding ring, it was when my wedding ring fell off my finger in the kitchen that I realised my other ring was missing.I wear rings one of them over recent moths has spent three weeks lost in the back garden then a week some where in the boot of the car and lastly a couple of weeks cooling off in the fridge.
Just off log splitting - ring will be safely zipped in pocketI think we should have started a thread on lost weight and rings lol. Yes thanks ziggy w xHello all. Slept in, so late posting today.
Blood sugars up were 4.7 this morning.
As we are swapping wedding ring stories today -- no wedding ring troubles for me. When I gained weight after my marriage, I couldn't get my ring off at all. Now approximately back to my wedding weight and ring fits perfectly again.
@karen8967 -- A big hug from me. Blood sugars in the 2s are awfully scarry. Are you feeling any better now?
@rhubarb73 -- Good luck. Go show them!
@Ziggy2017 -- So sorry that you've been suffering with these chest problems for so long already. Must be a month already. Isn't there anything they can do to help you?
