Hi just thought this might be worth sharing, I just saw a video on Instagram, Joe Wickes, a pizza base made using chicken. He blitzed chicken, cheese, seasoning and spices, spread this onto baking sheet, cooked then added toppings. I searched the internet and there are a couple of low carb recipe sites that have versions of it, worth trying I think :)

Sounds great. Will have a look for it. Might work with mince too I guess.

Of course! How could I have not thought of creme brulee! Thanks for the reminder.
Creme brulee is ok but oh dear @maglil55 just calling something keto would instantly put me off. For some reason, every recipe we try that has a keto prefix has been truly awful.

This one is not. IP recipe and works every time. I love them (especially the blowtorched inulin top!)

It says keto and instant pot so a real no no for me (yes, we do have an IP). Julie makes makes a vanilla custard version (stove top so I can watch what is happening) which she blowtorches with inulin and I like /am ok with. Once an IP and the word keto are involved that makes them a no go for me. Strange but that is how I roll

That’s strange - I wonder why LC would make you wake up early? Do you wake up hungry?
I've found that my brain runs better with ketones and often won't shut off, and I have issues both with sometimes getting off to sleep and certainly staying asleep for reasonable periods. So waking early while eating low carb doesn't really surprise me...:wideyed:

Yes I imagine it would work with most meats maybe even tuna? A few nice recipe ideas on the site that this recipe was found, fitmencook.com

A bit of peace while the boys are eating (again!). They're fed and watered for the 2nd time, washed, brushed and dressed and are going home.
Bed 5.4 FBG 5.3. Even got back in the 4's yesterday.
B. Back to the DD breakfast sandwich. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing too busy feeding the tiny terrors
D. Eventually flung together a lo dough pizza with ham and mushroom followed by a scoop of Halo Top and raspberries.
This was after an hour of reading Greek mythology to them - No 1 has decided the Greeks were pretty nasty to the Trojans but his favourite was Cyclops

Oh well, your world will be permanently void of a wonderful, simple, fabulously fast chilli recipe which requires no thickening - by thickening agent or sauteing off the moisture.

Hey ho.....

Guess I'll have to live the next 63 years without just like I have the first 63. Did you sell bridges in another life?

No, but I've built a few in my time. :)
Kudos for that . Don't think you'll build one between your heart and mine over the IP though. (Chilli is also top of Mrs Ps must avoid list.)

Hi All, been largely absent for a few days, so will just do an over view :D

LOTS of Keto food, some of it from the Instant Pot. Lovely.
The best one was venison and chorizo stew, with red wine and rosemary. Very good indeed.
http://honestcooking.com/two-day-venison-and-chorizo-stew/
I adapted it for GF and keto, and did the unctious delight in just 20 mins in the IP.
Need to organise a good venison supplier. Preferably not farmed. There are several online.

Have probably mentioned my lamb liver, kidney, mince and heart stew too. Mmm mmn. I want to make that again v soon. But I am running low on marrowfat, so need to get in touch with the butcher again.

There was also belly pork, thin rib, pate a few bouts of scram egg and bacon, and one serving of Halo Top choc icecream, which was curiously uninteresting. My carnivorous tendencies are (thankfully) adjusting my mindset. Which is great.

Incidently, chilli was never a fave of mine - until i did the Warcraft Dragonbreath Chilli in the IP. Gosh. Best ever. Need to restock on the makings. Mr B kept raiding my freezer stash of it (which is now totally depleted) and ate it every day for 6 days. Haha! Even I couldn’t do that...

Venison and chorizo combo would be a winner with me but not Mrs P - leastways not the narrower definition of venison. Extend it to game and we may have an IP recipe to please us both. Thanks for that. Plenty of wild deer and definitely game falling off the back of landrovers about here.

I like the sound of the venison and chorizo. Did you just leave out the flour completely? And did you marinate beforehand or just bung it all in and press go?

I browned the meat without flour, used minimal veg, and boy was the liquid delicious. And (thanks to the chorizo) the colour and intensity was impressive. :D

Love it when I find a winning recipe, and then don’t muck it up! ;)

This is the one I do. As mince is a staple on the freezer, we'll always have all these ingredients to hand, and it takes no time at all. I tend to throw it all together at lunchtime, then leave it on keep warm until we want to eat.

@Brunneria - I'm assuming you didn't spread your venison recipe cook over 2 days? Chorizo in anything is a winner for us.

Evening all
Hope everyone’s had a good day. It’s been lovely here.

Breakfast - lots of cups of tea with almond milk and a few cups coffee with cream while we made a start on clearing the loft.

Lunch was a diet Coke at the cinema while watching Bohemian Rhapsody - I haven’t enjoyed a film so much in ages, it was really good.

Dinner was DD Asian cabbage stir fry. 30 g almonds while I was cooking and an IP yoghurt afterwards.

Bgs been in 4s all day so I’m chuffed.
Well done on the 4's. I'm getting between the 4's and 5's again but that's the best it's been in a couple of weeks despite the best efforts of the tiny terrors.
There's been a few saying how good Bohemian Rhapsody is, although there have been reports that it is a very 'sanitised' version of Freddie. I dare say they couldn't really include half of what he got up to.

Peace now reigns in my household. Boys were excellent at swimming and safely deposited at home.
