Meal sounds great and if any group of people deserve to have a good time together that one does.
I'll second that. I've had a lot to do with the Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses this year and I'm sure @DJC3 will agree they're a special kind of person particularly the palliative care group.

Julie has gone to see MIL tonight. Surgeon said this will take much longer than hips - problem will be stopping her from going home alone too soon. Thanks on her behalf. The veganism is part of a flexitarian plan not the whole 9 yards. Besides, the dogs have 4 eggs per day.
Shopping spree? We have done much worse and I fear for the trip into the more exclusive parts - Julie wants to build a teddy bear for each of the girls and "wander around" John Lewis. All the shops I like are also in that part of the city .
@DJC3, bone broth is one thing the IP does really well - along with veg stock paste.
Thanks to Have I got News for You I know what a flexitarian is

Well that was weird. I was logged in , could read the posts but couldn't post, reply, nothing - kept telling me I didn't have permission, asking for my password...Still don't know how I managed to get back but I'm here again.I think I got as far as Wednesday so Thursday
B. Yet another DD breakfast sandwich. It an addiction now. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream. Just ordered a load of coffee from Tassimo. They sent me an email for 25% off and free delivery. Too good to pass up.
L. Nothing
D. Boys wanted lamb chops and had to work this around Halloween Discos. My dinner (much later) were the kind of leftover bits after boys and hubby devoured the casseroled chop (Yes it was an IP job and very tasty). Not sure it counts as a proper meal though.

No 2 announced he must have enjoyed his first disco as he had hair sweat??? As far as I understand all the fluid from your eyes diverts to your head and becomes hair sweat.

Today - Friday Boys 1/2 day at school. Bed 5.3 FBG 5.7 and DP has gone again.
B. Decided to break my breakfast addiction. 2 GF pork chipolatos, 2 rashers crispy bacon, 4 mini tomatoes and a fried egg. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing - busy feeding 2 hungry boys then took No 1 to join the library. He moaned but now thinks it's a great place. Changed since I was a nipper - he came back with 10 books and a DVD. He's developed an interest in ancient Rome so there were loads of books to interest him.
D. Had one of my 'cannot be bothered don't know' days. Ended up with a boiled egg, 4 mini tomatoes, a bit of avocado ( it was too hard to eat a half) , bit lettuce and some prawns.

Later another Tassimo and a Grenade mint bar.

Boys are staying tomorrow and have announced they want chicken curry so IP goes to work again. Got them most of the day as Mum & Dad going to a wedding, hubby at football so an online shop was called for. Busy, busy.

Maglil - Was this last night when you couldn't post, or now?

Last night the forum had a little lie down (for several hours), but has been back up and running since before 10am, but I'll be interested to hear if folks are still experiencing issues.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: 1/2 tin of steak stew with mixed veggies followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: raspberry chia pudding and black coffee.
Dinner: Tesco chorizo and Gouda rollitos, coleslaw, raw cauliflower and broccoli and pork scratchings followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.
Lovely sounding menu today Jayney.
I’ve seen the cauliflower crust pizza but haven’t tried it - would you recommend it?
hi, I think describing it as a crust is a bit misleading as it isn’t crispy or dry but it’s very tasty, I felt it was more like a crustless quiche. I made it last night and then took a slice to work for lunch, I was going to pop it in the microwave but decided to try it cold, it was lovely.

Sounds good to me, I will give it a go.

Seems to be a (trendy/snooty bits of) London thing. Doesn’t look like there’s one near you. The Stoke Newington one is the one near work. The American ones are huge with amazing hold and cold food bars.

Looks good, sadly no delivery to my area either, but I have hosp appts in Kensington and a friend in Richmond so will make a trip next time I’m in either area. I’ll beware of the chocolate aisle though.

Last night and most of today. It booted me out. I signed in but it was refusing to recognise I was signed back in. Eventually got in via the internet but it would only let me see the posts - not do anything.

Thanks for the welcome back, @DJC3 and @Goonergal. Missed you too.

Had the munchies today.

Decided on an early breakfast when I woke up at 5.30 a.m. since hunger kept me from going back to sleep.

Breakfast: Some soup, two scrambled eggs with fried okra and cheddar.

Late lunch: Some more soup, a DD keto roll with goat cream cheese and smoked salmon. A bowl of erythritol-sweetened whipping cream with 12 small strawberries. Two small squares of 85% chocolate.

Dinner: Out at the French tapas place one and half glasses of red wine, half a serving of sweet potato fries with tomato aioli, one small lamb chop.

Home, still hungry: Half DD keto roll with steak tartare and mayonnaise, another small bowl of soup. One and a half dark chocolate thins. Half a glass of red wine.

Have an enjoyable weekend all.

That’s strange - I wonder why LC would make you wake up early? Do you wake up hungry?
I suspect the cold is a big part of it. I have googled the issue and there is some evidence that it is common. Stayed in bed until 5.50 ish today - initially woke at 4.30. I am basically hungry and cold most of the time hence huge amounts of tea for filling and warming.
Edited to add; I am sure it is possible to eat to satiety this way just no way to suit my tastes or concerns that will be LC enough ATM - major work in progress. It has evolved so there is hope - but it's the hope that kills they say.

Hi all late dinner yesterday and then I crashed so catching up before I launch into a busy day today
Breakfast in York’s bacon, egg and mushrooms
Lunch in Lincs picnic of nuts and cheese
Dinner late in air B and B place ( good kitchen but always strange when using other ovens etc though brought my IP with me and that helped!) Beef casserole, broccoli, cauliflower and butternut squash chips with red wine followed by about 6 raspberries and cream
Hope everyone has a good weekend I’m looking forward to getting back home tomorrow!

Most of the chocolate aisle is prohibitively expensive - they had a 70g bar of one of the brands I liked in America for £4+!! Probably just as well.

I can understand the industrial quantities of tea now. Having done IF for a feeble few days I’ve found I’m drinking loads of tea too, just for the warm full feeling. Just the thought of drinking the same quantities of water makes me feel cold.
You are a very determined chap, hats off to you for persevering. I’m struggling just to finish the week I set myself. I hope you find a way that suits you better - personally I can’t imagine veganism providing it (ethics aside) but will watch with interest.

Won't be full veganism but will, hopefully, be 2 or more days a week. Part of my centrist dad response to the cholesterol/statins/hf quandry. Makes way more sense to me than a lard, cream and cheddar smoothie approach:angelic:
The ethics issue seems to me to be invalidated by the land grab/deforestation, water theft and air miles involved. It is partly virtue signalling and partly offsetting C21st madness - we are not designed to live like this.

Can’t help but agree with all of that.

Thanks Maglil - That was reported, from a half-awake state at 2am (don't ask!), so it'll have been checked out this morning. It had been reported by someone else too.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, have issues, emailing [email protected] is a means of raising issues. That'll still work if the forum is having a little rest.
