What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Evening all. Very quick post as have to head out to Pilates. Will catch up properly later. @shelley262 @Brunneria article looks interesting, will read once back home.

A fishy day today. Lunch was smoked salmon and some of the delicious M&S whipped creamy cheese.

Dinner was pan fried Dover sole with a lemon butter sauce followed by , you’ve guessed it, extra thick double cream. Need some advice on the lemon butter sauce - can’t quite get the lemon/butter balance right. Either too thin or not lemony enough. Thoughts?

On another note, this might be of interest to people on this thread - being promoted by David Unwin on Twitter. @Debandez and I are both signed up.

Evening everyone. Trying a bit of intermittent fasting for a few days so only breakfast and lunch today.
B: scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
L: salmon fillet leftover from yesterday dinner, with mushrooms and wilted spinach and a small amout of grilled halloumi. Followed by a lc Bounty bar

Lots of tea of various types and some coffee and cream.
May do a workout dvd or go to the cinema so I don’t just sit here thinking about food.
@shelley262 more low carb baking supplies have arrived so will have a bash at the CCBs again soon.
@ianpspurs I’d love to see a photo of yours so I can see what I’m aiming for - do you actually have layers?

Evening all. Depending on how traditional one is about 5 to 8 weeks of this detestable season left. Hope people's bacon was boiled just so by the day's events.
Breakfast;Mid morning;Lunch and Late afternoon: Much pintage of tea including a pot in The Eccentric Englishman Tea room at the crocodile* farm Evening meal around 18.00: Short rib stew/casserole in IP with mushrooms and clumps of cauliflower in it (sounds trendier than fatty meat melange but doesn't make it any more special); tea - Cocoa later around 20.00 if the Cocoa fairy is in helpful mood.
* actually an Ostrich, buffalo, beef, pork, vension farm. Pigeons for 80p were a bargain (50p last year) but couldn't get Julie to buy rabbits. @DJC3 I will get the CCB fairy to photograph the 2 types we have and post them I promise - football may get in the way tonight. She can be a problem to manage but we all have our own cross to bear.:angelic:

I love rabbit, just one of the treats that we save for when we go to my parents place in France.

Unfortunately, you can take the girl out of Landun ..... Over 35 years I have coaxed her into eating most game but rabbit seems a step too far. She will eat crocodile, kangaroo, impala, zebra, ostrich, pigeon, pheasant, partridge, wild duck - what is different about rabbit??

Roger rabbit. Bugs bunny. Thumper, the White Rabbit. Too many adorable famous rabbits?

Evening. Early for me tonight but then my day started too early so makes sense
Breakfast - 2 bacon, 2 eggs, handful for mushrooms
Throughout the day - more cups of coffee than I was prepared to count. Had a block of cheese on my desk at work that I kept slicing bits off to snack on most of the afternoon
Dinner - chicken fajitas - just a bowl of the meat, peppers & mushroom covered in fajita spice mixture covered in cheese for me. Will definitely have my tray of green & blacks chocolate later with a cup of tea

B0EFEE0D-D407-4238-9F7A-EB12EF2446AA.jpeg @Goonergal lemon butter is always thin if too much lemon juice. What I do is cook my fish in oven in a foil parcel. For a Piece of fish for two would slice about half a Lemon and put on fish and two slices of butter placed on top of lemon with pepper and salt and sometimes dill. I then cook parcel for about 25mins at 180 for same time as my caulicheese. Parcel intensifies the lemon flavour without diluting the butter - well I like it! Hope this helps.
@DJC3 hope IF goes well lots of hot drinks are helpful as is distraction maybe some mindfulness too? I’m just about to go and do Day 19 of my mindfulness eating course and think it is helping me.
No breakfast today Pilates class this morning and can’t do Pilates with a full stomach gives me indigestion!
Lunch avocado, smoked salmon, lemon and mayo, seeds and nuts and mindfully ate one 100% hc chocolate drop
Dinner 2 lamb cutlets served with full fat yoghurt and cauli rice fried with mushrooms and small glass red wine followed by lc raspberry mousse.
I also made another version of lc crispbreads which I’ve developed and I think are best yet and only 0.166 g of carb per crispbread will put recipe into the booklet when have finalised recording details but it seems to combine best of recipes to date and easy to do.

Lots of hot drinks being consumed - I’ll be up all night at this rate!
I’ve been doing Headspace as soon as I get up in the morning and it does help to set me up for the day. I haven’t tried the mindful eating yet but I think I’ll give it a go.
Looking forward to seeing the new crispbread recipe - did you find the post for the microwave version?

Think so copied and pasted lots of bits into file to edit later but not got round to sorting yet! The new one is just scribbled handwritten notes just now as did the making quite late!

Thank you ( and Mrs P)
Don't encourage her. That is current CCB no layers all in together

This is all broken but is toffee with choc on top - by far best version of toffee yet. You could make the CCB then put the toffee on top/bottom. then more choc

Hope this helps although images look rather dark

Thank you. The toffee one looks great. Mine look like the all in one version. Not sure I have the patience for layers though.
It seems a fairly forgiving recipe, doesn’t mind being played about with a bit, so I am indebted to you for original posting

@DJC3 I have various glass storage containers that keep garlic and suchlike flavors contained. Pyrex has all kinds, and Pampered Chef (do you have that? In-home party sales) makes covered prep bowls of different sizes. Anyway, your cure now is a good ol’ bowl of baking soda left in the back of the frig
@Hungry19 welcome!!

I was daft not to cover the bowl, but yes I agree a little bowl of baking powder should freshen things up a bit with any luck.
