What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Costa Lot

Always complaining I have no money

Is not in the slightest, a little bit funny

Spending sixty quid a month on a cup of coffee

Aroma wafting up my nose, that’s a little bit toffee

What’s that you say?

That’s a little bit strong for a flat white guy

I say, it is up to me, exactly just what I buy

Bloody scrounging buggers, freezing outside the door

With me sat in here bemoaning, that it is me that’s poor

Po

5.8 this morning - so back in the 5s. Last night 5.3 so Dawn P missed me out this morning.

Drinking my Nespresso and cream in the conservatory - dogs are snoozing in the sunshine. Am looking forward to the doggy walk on this lovely morning. Then my second Nespresso and off to work.

I got up to a lovely sunny morning. I have walked 2 dogs individually and have come to get my coffee which I thought I would have in the sunshine and it has clouded over!
4.8 at 5:45 when I got up. Not much on today except weeding and stopping a fog licking - weeding is the easier option!
Have a good day whatever you have planned

Remember who they were who said it was a man's world. :D Women have always known better. We're not the ones who have to go fight wars and dig ditches. And I think -- not certain, must research this -- that it was a woman who came up with the expression "Every Tom, Nick, and Harry" to mean "they're all hanging round my back door, can't beat them off with a stick." In which case I would take in the toms and the hairies and the ones nicked in battle and feed them! :)

Morning...an excellent sleep last night..a glorious sunny start to the day...coffee made...'Plumpy' fed...listening to the news it seems TM is not much longer for PM...talk about day of the long knives...still a little snotty but slightly better than yesterday...woke to a 6.8 so going down a touch.

4:30 am this morning as Dawn was streaking her red across the sky, and I am greeted with a 11.1

Why a higher reading?
I did eat out and ate some lovely home made toasted bread...
When I came home there was some cheese coleslaw that needed eating up, so I did have a larger portion than usual...
Also yesterday I didn't have any coffee with cream during the day. I was out all day and only like coffee with cream the way I make it, the strength I make it, and with just one particular double cream I use, and with cinnamon on...

So those were the differences with food.

Also I have just opened a new container of testing strips...

Also 4:30 is a tiny bit earlier for taking the reading...but Dawn woke me up...

It might be none of those things, but they are the only ones I can pinpoint.

We shall find out what the dawn reading is tomorrow....

>^..^<

My New testing strips, every time are higher.. I usually test with the same tester with the same drop of blood and they are never the same..

@dunelm safe travels and enjoy yourself.
Happy weekend and safe travels to any of you out and about. We have to wait 3 months for the next BH so use it wisely.

good morning all :)

4.6 for me this morning

well 4.6 second shot, the first jab didn't get enough blood straight away and ended up telling me the strip was 'underfilled' and 3.8, second jab done immediately on the other side of the same finger was 4.6 which seems more likely ;)

It's quite dry here currently this morning but the forecast says 'heavy rain' by lunchtime so I may put on my gardening 'strides' and go do a bit of tidying outside before it arrives, I can shop in the rain later :)

The wind is quite chilly the last couple of days which is a bit of a shame for the people who are by the seaside for the Bank Holiday. There is plenty of 'bracing' sea air though ;)

Hope your weekend is treating you well :)
