it is after all not our day, but the families, so less fuss,, is probably the respectful thing to do
hope the day goes smoothly....and yeah i do think many lives nowadays are just one big online blog, births wedding & deaths included...it's a very open world for many, it seems..( privacy seems a very old fashioned thing to hold dear )

Oh Ian none of this is on my radar...its worse for me when they are all here watching it on TV so I am grateful. When you need a good kip a quiet spot with no excitement is ideal
Me!!!!! I recently been going to bed around an hour later than my normal, so crawled into bed about midnight last night, laid there for 4 hours wide-a-bloody-wake. But I have to admit to going back to sleep after my 7am meds, another thing that’s becoming a bit to regular recently. It just seems my sleep pattern is out the window once more, least I don’t have to work, or cook or anything I can sleep when I need and do stuff when I want.
I get sleepy after breakfast too @SaskiaKCI'm in the same situation. When I can't sleep at night I "know" it won't affect any schedule, but I still feel like I should be sleepy at "bedtime" and not in the middle of the day. But when I sleep only a few hours during the night, I tend to get very sleepy sometime after breakfast, and either go back to bed or sleep on the sofa. The KittenCat loves this! ^. .^
Just go for it, enjoy yourself.7.7 at 5am
I bought lots of nice things yesterday.
A new electric heated throw.
Different things at the fabric mills.
Some Berber fur fleece and it was half price. I just got one piece. It was teddy bear coloured fabric and in the old days I would have made antique jointed teddy bears with a growl voice box in them. But when I got home I put it on the bed and joined Popeye for a nap, I was so toasty, I am thinking I am going back to get some more for the couch in front room, and for my potting shed. But there is only one thing...all the other pieces of the half price fleece was in shocking pink. I think batty old lady can live with shocking pink!!!
I didn’t return immediately to get it because I was tired when I got back, so I think it’s extremely unlikely there will be a rush on shocking pink Berber fur fleece, don’t you?
What else did I get at the mills ?
Some purple all wool material of a very nice design. It will make a great winter jacket.
And another orange fleece, called cuddle fleece. It is actually so soft and cuddly.
Then into to wool building. A building full of wools of all descriptions. It is wool heaven @PenguinMum
I found some recycled cotton (material) on reels to crochet with. It needed a number 10 crochet hook. So I got that in...wait for it...purple! It is fairly heavy and I think it will crochet a couple of winter hats. I often nearly lose my hat because of high winds, and this hat will be for those kind of days.
I also got some arran wool mix to crochet a lighter weight hat....in purple!
I got some fancy colourful design crochet hooks!
Now that I am going back today to get some shocking pink Berber fur fleece, I want some more wool material (there were some beautiful designs and colours), and I want to get some purple specialist wools to create a trim or design on the purple wool material I am going to make a jacket out of.
I was trying to be restrained yesterday at the mills, but if you had seen my final bill I think you might have gone OMG.
So today I will get the wool and material I was being restrained about yesterday...
Oh and I got some metal silver coloured buttons. They were in different mixed packs. Amazing designs, little yachts, eagles, symbols, and more. Like a child I was, or a pig in wotsit. I love buttons. What am I going to use them for? I don’t know, but they are amazing to look at. I got a few packs...
Actually I might use them in my gel prints. I make cards out of my gel prints. Or maybe in my encaustic wax paintings.
Now, I need horse blinkers for today, in order to just get the things on my return restrained shopping list....oh, and there was a great lime green on the recycled cotton to crochet...that’s going on my restrained shopping list too....
Good morning and a 5.3 at 5 am, back to the 4 hour sleep routine and that's after spending 7 hours painting sons house yesterday, I expected to be exhausted, well actually I was but made no difference to sleep time.
Seems a lot on the forum are having odd sleep patterns is it LC diet or just life? I know a few non diabetic's having the same problems. What ever is causing it hugs to all sufferers. I will try and get a siesta today as we have a gig tonight somewhere in deepest Cheshire and they are always exhausting.
Like the sound of lobbying gov but with all on their agenda I don't expect much notice to be taken. However from little acorns oak trees grow, so over to you @OldButBold.
Strange how some people have no idea how life changing and threatening Type 2 is. My neighbour always looked at me puzzled when my response to their "you need to stop loosing weight and eat normally now" is "I would rather be thin than risk loosing a limb or my sight or even dying" they really do not realise how serious the diagnosis is. Until this week when two have stopped me in the street and said "did you know you can die from Type 2 diabetes?" I wondered what had changed their minds so responded with an amazed "Really?" To bo told yes Doc Martin on the TV told one of his patients "oh yes I remember your husband he died from Type2 diabetes"
For non UK members Doc Martin is a TV comedy about a brusk, rude but brilliant doctor in a small Cornwall fishing community.
Strange what it takes to make people more aware.

Thank’s for the photo set @jjraak - I now want crispy roast duckA pleasing 5.3 this am. Mind that was after about an hour up and about...( How could I forget )
Yesterday, we went Chinatown, really nice day, me n Steph.
Didn't check bloods, by time I got home it didn't seem worth it, hours after eating.
Did have a few beers, to end the day.
We plan to make it a monthly meet up, nice to play catch up, seems odd not chatting face to face everyday..
So here are some gratuitous pics to share.
(@SaskiaKC ..a little taste of London life.)

A very well made point MC we need to raise awareness of how potentially devastating T2 is...blindness...heart damage...nerve damage...amputations & more...this condition is not given the gravitas or the funding it needs to develop an effective measure of controlling it...how many more useless DESMOND courses...HCP's that are dismissive critical & patronising...charities (?) that have little 'charity' or time for T2's that's what we have to change."I would rather be thin than risk loosing a limb or my sight or even dying" they really do not realise how serious the diagnosis is.
Sorry, you said yes in the yes-no interlude so you can't open the boxGood morning from the comfort, familiarity and clearly marked time zone that is the dark and dangerous north. Yes, @Muddy Cyclist - it, and also Mrs Miggins’ car were still where we last saw them.
The wonder wheel of planes, trains and automobiles as well as sitting for most of the day being a passenger resulted in not very inspiring, yet interesting to know, 6.1 this am.
Back to reality after our little trip to Bordeaux. The good news is that Mrs Miggins is away today and tonight. Our daughter has arranged an overnight with her mum and her aunts before her “oh no, here comes the baby’s head now month of November”, and associated clucking and cooing stuff. So - bonus of an unsupervised weekend.
Lots of mail to go through this morning and joy of joys, the first envelope (it’s a bit like a TV quiz show with Michael Miles or Hughie Green proffering a fan of envelopes and asking me to take my pick), anyhow back to joy of joys - my two yearly bowl cancer screening programme letter to inform me that my set of Poo Sticks will be arriving in 2 weeks (it’s like winning the lottery - only with the added bonus of a free game). I also made it big with my premium bonds this month - a mad rush to log onto the National Savings and Investments web site and wow!, we are looking at new cars (even though I don’t actually own one myself), a bigger house (yes, a bigger space to stuff with junk), a holiday cottage in Cleathorpes (it’s an up coming jet set destination) and other ways to spend our vast fortune of 25 whole quid. Still, nice to have.
Have a great day if you can, got to make koffy now.
