What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

a lacklustre 6.1 for me this morning./
marley stayed last night....so i woke up with a sliver of the bed where the rascal spread himself out once lauren woke and set off for yoga.

Likee the fish supper, @PenguinMum ..Man can not live by avoiding bread alone (psalms.Raak chapter 5 )
Oh @DJC3 how awful, and after all the drama last year of getting it fixed...but agree with the GD quote.
@gennepher ..still none the wiser, but there again i can never see the captcha image nor those damned "stare at this for long enough..can you see the tiger yet" type of things....thanks for explanation, tho..hope you dried out ok in the end.

another good night, it seems @Muddy Cyclist

Nice little sideline, @OldButBold ..think i need me something to ward off the boredom..bound to run out of things to paint , fix or build, soon.:wideyed:

Have to agree fully with @DJC3 , re cat 'stufff', @HarryBeau ..the amount of "she'll LOVE this" we bought for our belles,
only for her to turn her nose up and insist on using only the most uncomfortable spots to lay and kip, the top of a sports bag, was a regular haunt...cats really are the most ungrateful of creatures.:hilarious:

happy anniversary, to you and mrs, @ianpspurs

and @Debandez ..far too often those in these positions look after each other, and the illusion that no one KNOWS there is a position lurking in the upcoming weeks..perlease

But it doesn't matter, it's not like it's our money they are spending...:hilarious:;)

Hope you all make it to Noah's ark this weekend ..doesn't look like it's going to be a dry one.

@jjraak for "your" bed lol

Good Morning, no rain! A 5.6 for me at 4 am but at least I managed 4 hours sleep or did I? 4 am on my phone, 5 am on old Grandfather Clock, hmmmm will have to work out how many hours later, maths not my strong point.

@ianpspurs happy Coral anniversary to you and Mrs ianpspurs. When you arrive there later today, enjoy.

Fbg at 5am

5 am according to phone time.

Now got these 6 am clocks to alter...

But I don't have to alter the one in potting shed, or the one in the garage...because they have been an hour wrong all summer. I have done this for so long, I just remember.

Well, by the time I have done 3 vibrating alarm clocks, one clock on the wall for outdoor temperatures, 3 wall clocks, and the front room complicated one, I just don't care about the rest...forget microwave clocks and other unnecessary ones...and I haven’t figured how to set the clock on my vampire testing meter, all I need and I ant is blood sugar readings for that. Oh and don't forget about the car clock, that one is a complete mystery to me each time...

I did have a watch, but binned it after failing to alter its digital system.I binned another complicated vibrating watch last night...I did start to try and alter the time but 5 minutes later it ended up in the bin. I am not wasting any more time altering time....it was followed by another vibrating clock which was a nightmare to alter and each year I think I will try again later to alter it, but I have made a resolution...bin anything that wastes my time...I do have another watch that gave me vibrating alerts and doubled as an alarm clock on my wrist in bed and that is still sitting on the shelf because it was another nightmare to change the time on, and also partly because the display was so small and incredibly complicated...I kept it because it was expensive...I am going to bin that too when I make my coffee. .

I need to be free from the shackles of time....

A day set to test the better angels of my nature, which I'm not even sure I've got, to the limit:arghh: 5.22, I am properly unsure how this will work. Fbg of 6.3 shredded any chance of much else but bitter disappointment and feeling an abject failure living inside my head all day. Found a 35th Wedding Anniversary card with the most beautiful words and I know just how much I have needed Julie since August and how blessed I have been for 35 years. Playing on loop inside my head is a nightmare scenario of the November holiday Julie so wants and I so don't want in case I can't hide my fury at the numbers. I had already agonised for days over whether to have a glass of wine today as I know Julie feels uncomfortable drinking if I won't. It will get worse - Julie wants Wales to win the rugby (I can't help not wanting this) and Spurs are likely to get embarrassed later. Nowhere to run baby, nowhere to hide. Morning prayer today features O God, save us from ourselves. They knew didn't they. Just to rub salt into the wounds, clocks change - dark mornings and nights:banghead::banghead:

Dark O’clock - been awake for an hour or so but decided to get up an sort out the clocks.

The wonder wheel of walks in the rain and an extra hour wondering when I will be eating splurged out a 4.9 this am.

We still have a few house guests, two more will be heading off first thing this morning and the remaining four of us are going to wander the walls of York and possibly a ramble round the Shambles.

Good fortune @gennepher with wrestling your time pieces - perhaps donate the miscreants to a charity. I don’t bother with those clocks on things like ovens and microwaves - too much of a time waste and I am sure that I don’t need that many clocks in my life. Luckily my FitBit sorts itself out and the kitchen clock is linked somehow to a satellite system circling the universe like a Discworld invention.

Happy Anniversary to @ianpspurs and Mrs P - hope you have a marvel of a day.

Koffy now - it must be time, whatever that is.

Thanks for the good wishes and letting me know it is a Coral anniversary.

Good morning folks, a 5.5 on the dice, lets hope this new pot of strips is a good one.

Congratulations on reaching 35 years of wedded bliss @ianpspurs but commiserations on the holiday dilemma, but then you didn't get to 35 years without manning up and taking one for the team, just be sure there's a quid pro quo in there somewhere.

@gennepher regarding the photo you took from under your jumper, I didn't see what it was at first but when you do it's actually a very good shot....good job you had the camera pointing the right way though.

Have a good day all and remember, "This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius" and if this weather carries on we shall all be developing fins and gills.

I have this special teaspoon @ianpspurs so I have photographed it and made it into a special card for you. A gift for you today.

Thanks you so much for such a lovely idea @gennepher. The drink tea idea is right up my street as they say. Interestingly, Julie's Welsh family give engraved mixing spoons on wedding days.

Thanks @trick60. Re the quid pro quo - think having given me 3 sons she is hugely in credit.

5.4 - testaurant/pub dinner - late night steak, peppercorn sauce salad followed by cheese board (2 small round crackers) 2 glasses of red. Place rammed. We spotted a table for 4 with a couple on it and asked if they minded if we joined them. What a lively couple. Meeting them for coffee later today here in Llandudno. Sun is due to shine.

Yesterday felt very positive. Met Dr Joanne McCormack (fat is my friend on twitter). Really lovely person. And a lovely nutritionist called Sian who is and ambassador for Public health collaboration. PCH stall. Selling books. Helping with any questions the public had where we could but Joanne was amazing. Lots of diabetics came over. Type 1s and 2s. Lots of low carb talk. She was able to help them so much with GP advice.

Wonderful day. Travelled down from Blackpool at silly o'clock in treacherous weather so tired when finished.

Fab venue. Right at the side of conwy castle.
