What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning...a busy busy busy week where I celebrate the lead up to Christmas...Christmas day boxing day & my birthday so by the time New Year rolls up I am done celebrating...one more birthday lunch to complete with friends in London on Saturday then I can return to normality...I made a conscious decision not to test in the morning over the holidays...my FBG is no doubt higher than usual but as someone else has said normal service will be resumed (soon)...had a fabulous time during the last week with family & friends...Christmas passed in a flash difficult to believe it's almost 2020...the Charlie & Lola road show continues unbelievable they seem to have doubled in size during the three weeks they've been here...all their little habits showing I love watching them apart from last night when after an evening out they entertained me on my return with charging up & down the curtains...congratulations @Debandez on baby Jaspers safe arrival...one coffee in another expected soon...one lmore deviation from the righteous path WOE this weekend then work begins on the impending HbA1c in the New Year...enjoy your celebrations this evening...I am not a new year fan but will do some first footing in the morning...see you all in 2020 happy new year.
Belated birthday wishes x

Not on to post fbs. Here to share my wonderful news. After 3 days on a rollercoaster ride at the hospital (on and off) with my poor daughter going through a very traumatic time I am very proud to introduce you to the newest member of our family. My grandson. Jasper Schofield. Born 11.55pm 30th December weighing 8lb 14oz. Mum and baby doing well now.
@Muddy Cyclist I need a fanfare. Could do with our thread musicians coming together at this point. And I cant wait to see which emoticons @SaskiaKC and @gennepher post.
I'm exhausted but still can't sleep. But I'm one very happy granny. So glad it's all over and Jasper arrived safe and sound.
Congratulations x

Happy Seventh Day of Christmas!

Although in my younger days I might have wished for seven swains a-swanning, today I am glad to share these with you all :

Gorgeous @SaskiaKC so much love in those pics.

Congratulations to your daughter, Jasper and yourself @Debandez. Great fbg @Muddy Cyclist. Enjoy your walk @PenguinMum. @SlimLizzy don't fret about your numbers - all is well. @dunelm new wheel, new year same warmhearted, generous spirit- in man speak you are sound. @jjraak photos make your hols seem like 1 long party - enjoy. So, fbg @ 4.00 ish 5.7 then by next wake up (8.30) 6.3. Toying with the idea of a CGM but how useful would that be in such an example ? Evidence there suggests sleep raises my bg:banghead: @Krystyna23040 interesting about cream and the Taubsmeister - is it the protein? If celebrating enjoy yourself. New month will be welcome for me - battle to find some love for this woe rejoined. For this I toil and struggle with all the energy that he powerfully inspires within me. (Colossians 1:29) Wrong context, right sentiment.

glad you had such a fun week and belated happy birthday wishes. Glad to hear Charley and Lola are flourishing even if your curtains are taking a bit of a hit. Hope they’re patterned so the tiny holes wont show!
I had such an enjoyable Christmas & didn't have to do any cooking...waited on hand & foot...I have managed to distract Charlie & Lola with a cardboard carton from a six pack if milk...I had confiscated as they were a nightmare with it throwing & hitting it all over the place...I've given it back to save the curtains which were made for me by a friend as a house warming gift...enjoy your walk on the beach quite envious.

I am not sure. I couldn't find the paragraph about cream again. I think he was saying that fat is ok but some people are sensitive to cream - but not sure if he mentioned why they are. Will dig the book out - have been meaning to read it again.

7.2 this morning. Yesterday it was 6.4.
But yesterday I woke up with heartburn from the chicken salad I'd eaten the night before, which also gave me a bad dream.
Last night I ate a brownie and drank some milk, after which I slept very well, with no dreams that I remember. So, FBG is higher. So what, I feel much better.
I know that feeling good is not the same as being good.
But there are worse ways to feel good.

Happy New Year and decade. To those celebrating, why are you looking at this?:banghead: To those not celebrating see you next year. No more food, probably no more drink and definitely no more shopping for me this decade:angelic:

Good evening all. Latest fbs was 7.9. What a kaleidoscope of a year it has been. For those of you who have experienced success, happy travels, new additions to families and improved health I wish you more joys in the coming year.
It has to be said, however, that 2019 has had more than its fair share of challenges and heartache for so many of us. Tonight we close the door on it and open a new door to 2020- the start of not only a new year but a new decade.
So here's wishing a fresh start and a period of peace, good health and great joy to each and every one of us. Happy New year!

@ianpspurs thank you,, will take that on board.
Something for you, the recent treatments may have affected your sense of taste. My father found similar issues with food. It does improve over time. Hope you find things improve for you too in 2020.
