Today I woke up too late and had to run to to work so I ate the strangest breakfast ever !

Breakfast 8 am : a black coffee ( never sugar ) with two raw mushrooms and a few low carb crackers.

Lunch 12 pm : a pice of chicken with veggie , a few tiny slices of banana for dessert

Dinner 6 pm: a few pieces of bbq with lime , 3 spoons of cauliflower rice , and for dessert I had half an orange .

I had a tiring day at work. I plan to have a slice of low carb , sugar free chocolate cake with tea and cinnamon later at night while watching a movie .

You breakfast made me smile - I’ve done the same sort of thing too. I love raw mushrooms and I’ve usually eaten half of them as I’m slicing them before bunging in the recipe.
Hope you managed to relax with your cake and movie later.

06-01-2020 @Chook glad the funeral went well. Always a difficult time for everyone involved. Hope your life gets better now that is over.

Breakfast CWC x2, nut granola, ( am really enjoying the cinnamon and orange version)
2 egg omelette. Chunk of cheese.
Lunch. Ham, pain kapnor toast with (thankfully) the last of the truffle tainted cheese. Neither of us really liked it- and after the first day MrSlim refused to eat any more, leaving it for me to finish. That's something we won't be buying again. Salad. Tea.
Dinner. Piece of carrot while peeling and chopping. Hard to give up a lifetime habit. Then a couple of walnuts. Dinner was late and I was hungry. Found an open pack of roasted, salted almonds and finished it off.
Dinner proper. Pork and mushroom casserole, made by the usual method. But took a bit longer than expected to cook. Sauce was very runny so mashed the potatoes, had one tablespoon of mash, and portion each of carrots and cabbage.
Way past 8pm when we finished, so decided to have 2 chunks of cheese. 2 glasses of sav blanc. Tea about 10pm.
Shoulder woke me in the night. Got up had water and some more cheese- not really hungry - comfort eating. Back to bed about 4am.

People who think they know everything.
@SlimLizzy - I love raw carrot as well. When I'm prepping carrots and other veg I have a circle of dogs sitting patiently around me - they love raw veg, too and will eat virtually any veg raw or cooked.
@Quinn1066 - do you spice your tofu yourself or buy it ready spiced? If you spice it yourself do you have a recipe for it. I'm trying to like tofu but, so far, it always tastes so bland.
@Winnie-the-Pooh and @DJC3 - I love raw mushroom too and usually put salad dressing on it half an hour or so before making up the rest of the salad because the mushrooms absorb the flavour so beautifully.

I'm having a blissfully quiet day - still not used to the house being emptied of rampaging visitors and Mr C has gone back to work after his bereavement leave. So nice to get to use the bathroom whenever I want to.....

My BG isn't behaving itself (yet) but I'm hoping over the next few days to see some improvement. I did manage to get it down to 6.2 yesterday briefly before dinner but it was back up in the high 9s before bed. Today's FBG was 11.1 and before lunch it was 9.2.

So, today's food (both eaten and planned) is as follows:

Breakfast: Half cheddar and half mozzarella chaffle with a fried egg on top (note to self, needs to be two eggs as was very cheesey)
Lunch: 30g Red Leicester cheese with a few cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices
Dinner: Will be.... leftover quorn roast diced and stir fried with a mixture of mushrooms, celery, red pepper, fennel, mangetout, raw beetroot and pak choi - it won't be huge because I'm just not felt hungry over the past few days. Just got to think of some kind of sauce or flavouring to put with it.

Drinks: black decaff x 2 huge mugs, lots of bottled water and maybe a glass of diet tonic this evening.

@Chook my dogs have all loved raw carrots too. I discovered Dennis also loves cauliflower leaves when he managed to pull one off the table - quick google followed to check cauli is ok for dogs, discovered it was, phew! But there were a lot of gaseous results later that evening!
Enjoy your peace and quiet and being able to get into the bathroom. I’m sure your BG will start to calm down soon too.

I’ve just spotted that Deliciously Guilt Free now have a blueberry and lemon drizzle cake out. I still have a lot of my preChristmas brownie order in the freezer but I might have to try these.

Sunday - Bed 6.4 FBG 4.8. No swimming lessons today. Starts next Sunday. It's getting a bit wild weather wise. @PenguinMum - I noticed the absence if the cauli rice in Iceland. Like you I hope it returns as it is handy to have in the freezer. @shelley262 - our decorations came down today too although it took until Monday to get a break in the weather to get the massive tree bag back in our shed (no way it fits through the loft hatch).
B. Had a go with Nairns fine milled oatcakes - 3 of them with a rough pate with mushrooms in it. Only out my BGs up by 0.7 so it seems oatcakes in moderation are OK. Usual TAG with ADOC.
L. Nothing
D. A stew from the IP with carrot, onion, mini cob and a green medley of peas, broccoli, sugar snaps and kale. The tiniest piece if pastry ever! Scoop of Grahams goodness and raspberries.
Usual campari and soda.

I've decided I'm going to do Diet Doctor's 12 week weight loss for good program. I've spent a fair bit of time today fiddling with the week one menu since, as usual, there is way too much food. I've dropped a few lunches. Like @DJC3, it's nice to have the whole week planned out so I don't have to think "What's for dinner?".

Have you seen Sunday’s meal - seafood chowder? It contains clam juice! How do we get that?
I like their meal planning tool but I do wish there wasn’t such an American bias to ingredients.

Mine all love Brussels sprouts (both raw and cooked). Mr C's favourite 'joke' is to give them some sprouts while he's having his pre-work meal and then drives off to work happy in the knowledge that it will be me that suffers from their 'gaseous results'. On Christmas day they had a full Christmas dinner each (including sprouts and stuffing) and we had to have the windows open all evening.

I saw it, but I changed it. I like the planners since they allow you to remove and substitute the meals with other keto meals. It wasn't my idea of a Sunday dinner so I've substituted their pork chop with the cauliflower steak. I've tried to keep it as much as possible as something Hubby will eat too but with minor tweaks.
PS Clam juice would have been a pain. It would have been a case of cooking fresh clams but they are an absolute nightmare to clean. My sister used to do it a lot for spaghetti a la vongale. I suspect I'd substitute fish stock.

Welcome back @Chook. Your BGs will settle again I'm sure once normality sets in again. Glad the going out helped. @PenguinMum - can't believe someone ordered champagne at a funeral - wow! Monday - Day 1 of DD Weight Loss for Good program. Good start. I forgot to weigh myself! Still haven't. As I've said already, I've adjusted the meal plan but Monday I did want breakfast, lunch and dinner! Unusual for me.
Bed 7 FBG 6.4.
B. 2 fried eggs, half tomato and chopped up apple wood smoked cheese. TAG with a bit less ADOC.
L. Wafer thin chicken (no turkey in Tesco), rocket, cream cheese, 1/2 avocado and olive oil/lemon dressing.
D. Burger with Mexican cheese, jalapeno, 1/2 avocado, lettuce and sour cream. Added a few bits of cucumber.

I've just used the DD photos as I stick quite closely to their recipes. @Chook & @Brunneria - I have not fallen for cabbagegate - only one cabbage resides in my fridge!

I agree on all counts - doesn’t seem very Sunday dinnerish. I like being able to swap meals out too and like you I prefer something OH will be happy with.
Hadn’t thought of fish stock. Duh! I would never have troubled with the faff of cleaning clams though, even in my heyday of dinner party cooking.

Today was supposed to be another B,L and D day but the morning got a bit busy and I had no time for breakfast. School doesn't start until tomorrow but I'd managed to make a chiropodist appointment for this morning. Son & DIL had requested a hour at the gym so straight after chiropodist, pick up son, DIL and boys plus one Guinea pig as No 1 had been bending Hubby's ear on the phone to let him bring one on "a trip". Took son & DIL to gym then back to mine with boys and the guinea. Quite entertaining, No 1 instructing Hubby on feeding & petting the guinea. Back to gym just after lunch then run DIL to work (seriously vile day) so eventually I had breakfast at 2.30pm! Bed 6.1 FBG 5.7.
B. Nothing
L. TAG with ADOC and the fried egg, tomato, cheese combo again.
D. Oomi noodle carbonara. They use courgette zoodles but I prefer oomi. Hubby is getting regular carbonara.

Edit: scrub oomi noodle carbonara. It ended up as courgette zoodle carbonara same as the recipe. My oomi noodles were out of date and since they're fish protein out of date oomi noodles are not good! I thought they were dated 26 January but it was 26 December. For once I was glad I'd kept my spiraliser and had courgette in the fridge. It was really rather good.

Back on a normal schedule tomorrow but the boys are requesting scotch broth which Papa is now making for them. I'll stick to the schedule.
