Hey @chris85 type 1 Honestly I don't care and I think most of us on this thread don't care what you eat, it's learning to dose properly is the only reason we would ask. Don't worry about what you eat so much as to dose for what you eat. We are all better off if we eat healthy but that's not the point.
So when I say Weetabix and toast are more carbs, I don't care you ate it, I am just saying it has more carbs? I eat what I want, whether it's 120 carb pizza or a 20 carb veggie bowl. So the trick here was if you double portioned your food in the morning did you take extra insulin to account for it? And if you did enough extra? The enough would be judged by if you are at "normal" levels 4 hours later. I prefer to be normal in 2 hours too, but it is harder to accomplish that! Get down the basics and then you can start fine tuning!!!!!
