What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Right, one more day on the Plains of McGarrett...whoop whoop

a svelte like 5.3, called and seduced me into poached eggs on ryvita

Now that boiled egg* and toast is just a pale copy of the previous love of my life**
* aka chuckie eggs my Brummie aunt called them whenever she served them up, on visits to us as kids)
** well comfort eating wise, it was..5*

i find Poached eggs now my real preference, just don't do often enough..have little silicon bowls.(dislike) that do ok.
i just can not just drop in water, they look awful and taste....:***:

but did have some sort of poached egg pocket, Lauren bought me, that i really like using.

mmhh must go see where i can buy them again.

found em :)
ordered them...Can't wait ? WON'T wait...;)

Have a good un, all..:D

My meter and lab work ain't even on the continent whereas yours share similar genes. Your current run of upper 5s will soon past. You have a proven record of success vs the tale of woe that is my experience. Coffee and Montezumas aand you'll be good

NOT i hasten to add that yours are so bad @ianpspurs

but i do agree wholesomely that @DJC scores a credible "Fantastic" on the
TYPE 2 .."GAME of NUMBERS"

Not too sure how many weeks she's been in the charts for, but i does seem forever,
and long may it continue.

Btw, i do believe @Krystyna23040 , has a chocolate mountain she MIGHT need help with if any one can travel at short notice..?;)

So pleased for you re archie, @Krystyna23040 ..such a worry when they are ill, so a blessed relief when they seem to recover without interventions..

Good of you to take the time to reply. It is becoming tedious having folks - including DN at last abode - "peeing up my back" when an objective review of the results won't support that optimism for anything but weight loss and maintenance. This is too important for pat on the back, medals for all nonsense. Sub optimal with bg control has real life consequences. My numbers are relegation from.

Definitely worth the long journey and the weather. It’s nice to be home again though, had a very exuberant welcome back from Dennis.
How have you and KC been? I will look back over recent posts in a minute, any closer to moving?

Thank you for asking. :) Yes, I have an appointment with the apartment manager in the little town next Wednesday (the 19th); a friend is driving me there for the day (it's about 2 hours from here).
I know Dennis was very happy to see you! I love greeting the dogs who live here when I meet them out for walks. Those tails! Wagwagwagwagwagwag ... :) The KittenCat expresses her welcomes with lots of purring and biscuit-kneading when I come home from an outing. ^. .^

Hugs if needed
Byeeeeee......

Very atmospheric. It looks like a tornado coming. Thank you for posting it. :)

Morning all. 5.8 this morning.
A quick scan of the most recent posts leads me to send good luck wishes to @karen8967 and @HarryBeau for appointments today. I missed kittengate, sounds intriguing I must look back.
Have a great meal out with the family @dunelm 2 or even 3 starters, tapas style sounds like a good plan

Yes, you really must go back and read about Kittengate! :D

@jjraak and @SaskiaKC Archie has recovered really well. No sickness yesterday so he had a small dinner and was alright overnight. Has had breakfast this morning and a short walk. He was a little slow but OK.

He is now asleep in the conservatory by the radiator in the sun.. Hopefully Poppy won't get it.

It was really cold outside with very strong gusts of wind. So pleased to be back in the warm.

Wonderful news about Archie! :) I hope Poppy won't catch whatever it was.

Not so much muddy but a Windy Bike ride today. Cycled to my Health Centre along traffic free route and had to climb over 3 trees to get there

IMG_2584.JPG
The health centre receptionist checked the records and my HbA1c is due on the 14th Feb but the earliest Blood Test is 25th Feb so more anxious waiting, they really are hopeless. Does everyone get called into their HC for HbA1c or do they have to chase it up like I am having to?

Rest of bike ride was much the same, climbing over fallen trees. My reward for all this activity and only scrambled egg and black coffee for breakfast 7.3 :banghead:

VW camper back New Cam Belt and Service so now ready for ZA and @PenguinMum meetup.

As you're following the news on the Corona virus I thought I'd give you these links (i was bored ;)). It's all circumstantial and I make no inference from it other than "blimey, that's odd"

Good grief! It's like the worst sort of science fiction movie gone mad. :banghead:

Absolutely love the artwork. Hug for difficult day with MIL and don't worry about A1c she'll be right. It's only me that can't do LCHF right and I'm just concentrating on my weight and getting cardboard city right ATM 2 things I can deal with and understand the rules. . Personally,, I would offer you the advice to concentrate on your art, music and muddy cycling as you can deal with.
Thanks for the good advise and support, I have to say I am always in awe of your BG readings even if LCHF is not suiting you they always seem good IMHO. I do struggle with this diet not my favourite way of eating but I feel there is no other choice, we are driven on by fear of the alternative and it's good to have the support of all the good folk here.

MIL is doing OK but considering she left hospital for end of life care and had very little response to anything and was expected to live only a few weeks she is growing stronger and more aware every day. This is good news but not without huge worries. MIL is now aware she is not home, thinks she is still in hospital but recognises she is improving and now keeps asking "Can't you take me home?" But she does not know where home is, can't remember it and says it's with Aunty Enid, who ever she is non of the family know such an Aunty. She can't stand, dress, wash, toilet or feed herself so returning home is not an option but she looks genuinely scared like a frightened animal, not of the staff they are very kind and caring but of other residents, worrying times. Thanks for your support and asking.

Hope you sort all those boxes soon and can get too relax and enjoy your new home.

I do hear you view, and sympathies.
Lots of effort=Minimal return

but if we are left adrift at DX to sink or swim,
then you sir have certainly paddled into the shallow end at least,
if not fully ashore and attending the Cook Out.

and none of us here are gasping for air, as we go under...TG

how long that last..how longs a bit of string, indeed.

But one more day, by one more day, Rinse and repeat, and we just might beat the devil at his own game
Imho..:)

Serious head for a minute.

not sure any of that sounds good..(not being cruel, just honest)
what an awful time for those close.

maybe talking out of turn, all life is sacred
but the expected result may have been the best , if she's so incapacitated.

saw my Mum, and if i ever i get that way,
well, you know..:sorry:

best wishes for you,.... i know it's the MiL and so it's the wife it strikes most hard.

but the role you play is NO easy one..being that ROCK is vital and OH so important.
But we can't support, if our foundations are weak.

so do take the time to take care of YOU.

Love to the missus.
May Gods loving mercy lighten the load.
