What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks, @ianpspurs @Krystyna23040 @gennepher @SaskiaKC and @HarryBeau for you nice comments. Moet is 13 years old and as you know blind we have to walk him on a lead when it's narrow as he bumps into things, on open ground he copes but in this picture it's farmland and this particular farmer does shoot loose dogs so no choice here. The good thing is he's moving better since taking the Youmove tablets.
The YuMove tablets are excellent. Our vet also says they are very good. Our 13 year old Archie takes them now and we also give our 10 year old Poppy them.

We were so pleased with them that we take them also - the human version iMove which are made by the same company.. I can certainly tell the difference when I don't take them.

They have to see immediately he is an elderly cat with a nasty infection...you have hearing difficulties & need to attend your appointment impress that upon them...could you leave him there & collect him on your return?
Okay, thanks for that advice @HarryBeau
However, they are only open an hour in the morning, and it is closed/shut all day, and then an hour in the evening with no one in attendance all day (it is just a shop front with one consulting room). Which means he would then be transfered by vehicle to their other main vetinary practice nearly 20 miles away where there are (if I left him) people in attendance during the day and manned by one person at night for the sick animals in their care.

I don't have time to go to the main vetinary practice before my hospital appointment. I am already cutting it fine going to this nearer one.

I know this from my Hearing Dog Meg when she was ill.

So I won't be leaving Popeye because that is a lot of extra trauma for him, bring driven to another place by strangers.

If this local one were open all day then that would be another matter.

When I went 6 years ago with my dog Meg, it was just drop in, no appointment system, this appointment system is new.

@gennepher I hope you and Popeye will both be able to get some sleep at some point. Is he patting you out of affection or does he want something?
Is there a vet near your cochlear appointment place that you could take him to on your way to the appointment?

Good morning/evening folks, a 5.1 on the dice today, I'll class that as a cheese on toast score as it's my first day on a new site and I'll need my wits about me.
I hope all goes well today @gennepher fingers crossed for you both.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another long weekend from the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of visits from grandchildren and kite flying on windy days came in at 5.6 this am after a naughty fish finger encounter with small co-conspirators last night.

Hope that your day goes well.

Morning all. Celebrated our latest success with a large diet tonic and bitters.

FBG 6.5 mmo/lt at 0615.

Some particularly dirty boat maintenance awaits, servicing the big "sheet" winches. Wondering about paying a technician to do this for me. The smaller halyard winches were easy to service. Second cup of coffee and the back pages of the newspaper first, before a decision.

Good evening/morning @trick60 . Here's hoping you will have a great first day at your new job, bus rides and all. :)

@dunelm Congratulations on the fish fingers w/ conspirators score. Wish you would post pix of kite flying.

@True Blue Welcome back to the thread.
Definitely hire someone to wrench the winches. JMO.

@gennepher Hugs and purrs, prayers and best wishes to you and Popeye this morning, for your visit to the vet and for the cochlear implant work.

Happy Monday, everyone. :)

Thank you @SaskiaKC
I think he was patting out of affection...He was purring very much. Though he does also do that when he needs something.
No, it's a long trip, and I would have to leave him in the car for a few hours for the appointment.. It is at least a 2 hour appointment, testing, reprogramming etc etc. So that is not possible. Last time it took 3 hours, and I had to go to the cafe at the hospital to try it out, and then come back to the department and say what I didn't like about it...hence the appointment literally takes half a day.

Fbg 7.8

I forgot my meds yesterday....all of them...

Popeye seems to have had a good night. He wanted to sleep on my chest all night. Which does make it difficult for a Hunan to sleep. It was like he was over my heart all night. He's had the hot compress again this morning.

Painting for today, two again, one A5 mixed media sketch book, the other C6 sized index card which is not as absorbent paper, hence different effects.

I like both for different reasons.
I need a quick nap/meditation before I go out, with my steam eye mask. Catch up with you all tonight...
Take care
Be kind
Hugs if you need them

Good Morning and 6.5 today.

@trick60 all the best for the new job and bus journey.

@gennepher Go with care you have a lot of dashing about, hope Popeye gets help with vet and you with hospital. Liked the colours again in your art, I prefer the watercolour paper again for this subject.

Bright sunny day so good Muddy Bike ride for me followed by MIL visit.

See the good in the world as you travel through today.

5.7 this morning. Shortly off for a rather wet doggie walk. Not a too busy dsy. Off to classes at 9am but have a 3 hour afternoon break before the evening classes. Will walk to the garden centre for a coffee and read the daily papaer. Have got Fridays and the weekend paper to read.

good morning all :)

4.5 today

off out this morning to see the DN for my 6 monthly review and get my latest results. I did register to get them online as well but it's a bit of a toss up whether they're all uploaded to the website before I get to the DN usually :hilarious:

Hope your day treats you well everyone :)
