Morning all. Fbg of 5.5 today so top end of ok but better than of late. Could it be the rhubarb poached in Calavados with extra thick double cream? Probably the spiffing new pair of Viyella socks I found:):) Hope it wasn't the sous vide Barnsley chop which was the first and only time I will eat that cut of lamb. Tender, sourced direct from the farm, butchered before our eyes but confirmed that shoulder is all I want of lamb. Hopefully, 36 hr sous vide brisket will not be the final straw for that cut but at least I will know it is neither the provenance nor the cooking method that is the problem. Trying hard to eliminate possible reasons I have developed a dislike of much meat then stick to the cuts and cooking methods I now tolerate. Very wrong to waste excellent produce that others would enjoy IMHO. @PenguinMum after all that work your body has rewarded you - yay. @dunelm #fishfingergate worth its weight in gold for all sorts of reasons not connected to T2. @trick60 great fbg, have that COT and enjoy day 1 in new environment. @gennepher I hope today goes well for you and Popeye. Best wishes for today @geefull - you should have a glowing review. @Krystyna23040 interesting about animal and human joint care - must make sure we order correct version. @karen8967 nice start to the week fbg wise. @Barb McD are you good to go down there in sub 4s? Low (as you need) readings and high pleasure to one and all. If I missed anyone out it will be because I need even more tea.

Yes - I absolutely agree that shoulder of lamb is the best cut the - no other cut comes close. I do rather also like slow cooked brisket.

Very interested to read your comment. The longer I am on low carb the more I like certain cuts and dislike others. Mr K really likes pork chops and I really don't like them. I haven't told him because he will stop cooking them. I just hope we don't have them too often.

Definitely a good idea to order the human version. I had a cycling accident 15 years ago when a van came out of a side turning and collided with me. The iMove does help to keep me active and moving as I was left with various issues after the accident.

Morning...slightly late on parade this morning lots of twitter response to deal with...cold but not full rain (yet) so I'm grateful for that...feeling much better than the last week or so now just the BG levels & the kittens to get under control (fingers crossed)...freezing here shall I turn the heating on now or try to harden up a little & wait until later...woke to a 6.8.

Hug for the cycling accident which must have been a huge issue for someone as active as yourself. Very reassured that someone who has had as much success as yourself came across the same issues with low carb really changing tastes for meat. Also, the pork chops - another where shoulder or ideally hand and spring is really all I want but ribs can work. I also find fitting this into relationships/awareness of others has become much more important the longer this goes on. Obviously, all confirmation bias but I like your style young lady. Regards to Mr K who both picked a really good 'un and soldiers on, often in very trying circumstances (I blame cream and Montezumas. Pretty sure you were practically perfect in every way before that wrong turning). What a legend that man is so please, please be quiet during the rugby for him. Not too much to ask is it?:angelic:

Hello everyone - 5.3 this morning. @gennepher, hope today goes well for both you and Popeye. Enjoyed the artwork, again I could see some sprinkles of magic, or could it be evidence of the prayers @SaskiaKC and others have sent up for you during this stressful time.
@Muddy Cyclist loved the photos and the artwork.
@ianpspurs @Krystyna23040 much prefer shoulder of lamb as well. Leg pork chops not my most favouite but shoulder of pork I wouldn't refuse.
@HarryBeau, good that you are feeling better.
@ickihun you are a bit quiet out there hope you are ok?
@trick60 Hope the first day on the new site goes well for you.
@geefull - if your DN is anything like mine, all I can say is be gentle with her, she may be in an unknown territory to have someone with bloods that well controlled.
Others that I have missed, hope your day is even better than you expect it to be.
Hugs everyone.

Good day, everyone!
7.4 here this morning. The object of this game is to keep my FBG numbers below the temperature of the morning. So, in US reckoning, an FBG of 134 is below a temperature of 44 degrees F (because you drop the 1). And I've just had my first question about this answered by the weather website -- it is close in UK reckoning too -- 7.4 is just .4 above 7 degrees C.
You see, if math is made fun, it is made doable. :D

Happy Labour Day to anyone in Western Australia!

@HarryBeau I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. :)

@geefull I hope your review with your DN went well, with good results. :)

All this talk of pork and lamb is making me hungry, and might be enough to get me interested in meat again, as I have become seriously bored with chicken and fish.
Having spent Sunday paying for Saturday's over-indulgences and over-exertion, with way too much sleep, but some wonderful bonding time with the KittenCat, I feel ready to take on Monday.

Forgot to tag you earlier @Muddy Cyclist. All that excellent artwork and you still have both ears. So much easier for the old sunglasses after diabetic eye screening. Vinny woos could have learned a thing or two from you. Oh. you don't do sunflowers. I see. Fan of starry, starry nights by any chance? Apologies if post not to your taste but je ne Magritte rien:angelic:

Interesting Muddy Cycle ride today, many trails closed because of Forestry commission harvesting. Managed 2 hours, got fed up of deep muddy tracks made by the machinery, should have gone over to the heathland, never mind still a good workout and the smell of freshly cut pine was wonderful. 5.7 from my pet Dracula on return, a surprise as I usually have higher numbers after Aerobic exercise, but I suppose thats also after handsanding and polishing a piece of Sycamore made into a table, also after chopping a load of fire wood.
