What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Anyone got friend family in Spain.
BBC say Spain shutting all hotels 24 march
UK citizens to arrange transport back by then..

And you dogslife it's going to be hard and it seems like it may be the new normal for an extended period...but there is lots of local support here...I'll help where I can & have emailed work for confirmation about their plans...keep safe.
As you say @HarryBeau "at the moment" for most of us it is just about inconvenience and learning to do everyday things differently. It will be our Sapphire anniversary on 5/4 and we were planning a short hotel visit to celebrate but that is now out of the question. My cousin's friend has a wedding soon in Italy with guests invited from several countries so many people will be affected. School closures which are imminent, holiday cancellations and job situations will also affect many families. It is important that we all do our best to protect ourselves, support others and ride it out together.

Chelsea FC offering free accomodation to NHS staff ...a nice story.:)

Hope others offer that too :D

How have you all been affected so far? Stay safe and well everyone. Best wishes.:)

You too, @dogslife. 12 weeks sounds impossible to me. :(
I am still hoping to hear something good about my move from the small-town apartment manager. As of now there are no coronavirus cases in that county. There are some in my county, but none in my building. We are not in lockdown other than nonessential visitors being official kept out and hopefully no residents are unofficially letting any in at the secured back doors. All the back doors are secured doors all the time, requiring swipe cards to get in, but residents have been known to lend their cards to relatives and friends. :( And our security gate has been broken for a couple of weeks now, fortunately it is stuck at OPEN so we can go in and out freely, but so can other people in the neighborhood.
Hugs to you and your mum and all your family. :)

Our iCeland is not one offering that service. I had to pick a parcel up from Post Office today and popped into Tesco just to get some shampoo, not that I have much hair a rub with a wet flannel would suffice, it was stripped bare even no shampoo, grabbed a couple of bottles of wine instead, shan't waste those on my hair. However I agree with you @gennepher it was full of OAPs walking around as if in shock and I did notice very few seemed to care or perhaps not understand the need for social distancing.

Edit. Congrats on your Lottery Win, pitty we can't all socialise we could have met at yours for a celebratory drink, your paying obviously.
Many of the elderly really don't understand. These are people who are my age. Even my friends whom I have been warning since January.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist

Thank you@SaskiaKC. So much depends on those around us being sensible and responsible. Mum's nursing home are no longer having medical service visits except in emergencies and have asked those who have returned from abroad in the last 2 weeks to keep away. All other visitors have been asked to limit their visits which is difficult as I'm used to seeing mum every day. I wish you well and hope that your move goes ahead smoothly.

Now, I have an incy wincy bit of good news!!!
I took all my old lottery tickets to get them checked. I just never get round to it.
The lad at the till said no winner, no winner, no winner...
Then at the last ticket, his face was in shock, and he whispers "You've won £93". So I did a little jig with my emerald green walker. The manager had to come to pay me out!
The whole store was delighted. Well I don't suppose you get many batty cantankerous old ladies dancing with their walker in the middle of a Coronavirus pandemic!!
Here you are @SaskiaKC
Here is the original post.
I am getting the same with missing posts. They appear and disappear at random.
I suggest the Internet may be overloaded at the moment, because of a vastly increased demand on it in this crisis, and consequently pages are only partially loading. Maybe that is it?
Hugs
Take care

Excellent news, just enough money to buy a half share in a twin pack of loo rolls with enough left over for a chocky bun.

@gennepher congrats on the windfall...good for you! Glad also the shopping expedition this morning was successful. Are you all stocked up for the foreseeable now?
Yes I am @PenguinMum thankyou.
I have a variety of tinned food now.
At least it is not going to be tinned fish for breakfast, tinned fish for lunch, tinned fish for tea....
