Lovely idea and you both look great doing it. I have no doubt it sounded fantastic. Hope as Ian suggested people listened from a distance. If I had I would have let out a cheer at the end. Enjoy the dinner this evening.

The worst thing about it is that apparently our management thinks that a onetime spray will be all it takes. Never mind that someone could enter the building the next day breathing out COVID germs.
People are losing their heads over this, and it is the most vulnerable who are suffering the effects of their insanity. :(

Try not to worry about the spraying. If they tell you when its happening you can stay indoors at that time. I do wonder if there is any reason for doing it that the residents dont know about. Maybe someone reported a delivery man with a persistent cough. I would like to think its done with the best of intentions to protect the residents. Take care you and KC.
Btw I wont return the purple sprouting brocolli, I wouldnt be allowed for hygiene reasons anyway. I will get over it and find something hiding in the recess of the freezer no doubt.

It is from a statue in the grounds of St Bees Priory.
It is a very eerie statue. It was early evening. I was on my own. I had gone for one of my little excursions of a few days away (I sleep in the car, on mountain tops and by beaches...it sorts my wanderlust nature).

The eyes of the different children on the statue follow you. They open and close. At least that is what it looks like...

So I took photos and videos...and even on my videos the eyes still appeared to follow you and open and close.

I wanted to get that feeling in this painting today...it has taken me around two hours...

Family virtual meal went excellently 2 hours of chatting, eating, drinking, story telling, music and a game of I went to the shops and bought, memory game, mind you I'm Sure some cheating was going on. Will certainly be doing it again.

Thank you both of you.

The statue was very spooky, especially as I was on my own, and night was beginning to fall. I have wanted to do that painting for a few years, so I could give some of the essence of the spookiness I felt.

This is how Popeye sleeps on me each night. I go to sleep sitting propped up but I slide down the bed during the night and realise fur is tickling my lips...so I grabbed phone this morning to see if I could capture it...he couldn't get much closer...

No further need for bread. MrSlim got the job and will be leaving tomorrow. He is not a medic, but will be supporting their efforts arranging hospital discharges. It's likely he will be away at least three months.
Major shopping trip this morning. Anything forgotten today will have to be carried home by me on my bike. Trying to get all the heavy stuff.
@Krystyna23040 Have taken to your idea of measuring cream in coffee. Now find one tablespoon is plenty and the cream supply lasts a lot longer. Thank you.
@geefull Am full of admiration for all of you posting your art. Have tried but I really don't have any talent.
Made the soda bread yesterday, used all the flour, so cant make any more. Looks good. MrSlim is eating it, so with that and the two slices left in the freezer can last until Monday or Tuesday.
 
6.2 this morning as we awake to a world pushed even closer to the edge.

I wish I was 30 years younger, I was ready for it then, perhaps being old means I don't have to hang around for the finale :(

Good morning everyone from a quiet yet promising morning in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel twice cooked pork belly and shredded cabbage married with bacon came in at 5.7 this am - oops! Still, that’s OK.

Lost a friend to the virus, 15 years younger than us. Right out of the blue. Still not going out.
Hotels cancelled on Booking dot Com. Brittany Ferries have issued vouchers. Family weekend cancelled. Car hire from Berlin to Poland cancelled. Awaiting airline to cancel flights to Berlin and in the meantime, flights to USA postponed. Can’t see me traveling abroad until I have been vaccinated - or demised.

Still, the seeds on the windowsill are coming along nicely. Mrs Miggins will instruct me as to where they will end up in the garden.

Have as wonderful a day as you can. Koffy time.

5.1 this morning - have continued to keep the cream really low and haven't gone overboard with the Montezuma 's and almond butter so am really pleased that my low fbs reflects this.

It is horrible outside so doggie walk postponed until later. Dogs are snoozing on their beds. We are relaxing with newspapers and coffee in the conservatory
