What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

was 4.3 this morning

rain here this morning but it became a fine afternoon so we went out for a walk and then went out into the garden and transplanted a few things :)
It's still odd to me the way the days merge together without the usual shapes to the weeks :sorry:
I'm very grateful that we can get a bit of time outside, that I have my knitting and that this thread inspired me to go back to painting :joyful:

Lots of people walking dogs after the showers today ;)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@gennepher nice sense of scale in today's work :)
@Muddy Cyclist I like the clouds rolling in and contrasting with the light falling on the distant landscape in this one :)

Art catch up - trying out the new paints, some new colours to try mixing ;)
no 1 - sunny seascape

no 2 - the sky ...not my best :sorry: ( it was supposed to be the milky way but it came out rather apocalyptic :hilarious: ), an interesting experiment non the less.
I quite like the foreground colours though :)

That was adventurous, night skies are difficult to depict, great that you enjoyed the creativity. I agree about the foreground, good nice feel to it. Seascape also good, your stile, works well.

Thank you @geefull for the compliment

I like the sunny seascape very much. I wish I was there...

I like all of the purply one, even the sky you are not so sure of. It is the kind of experiment I would do :)
And the foreground with the tree has a brilliant sense of distance drawing you in.

;

Little wonder you cant put on weight @SlimLizzy with the doing of lots - perhaps that's why I'm struggling to keep weight off - the doing of little - but given the choice....;)

Sorry Ryhia but I had a sit down all day job for seven years and didn't put weight on at all for the first four. Then it went on at about four pounds a year. I think the weight creeping up was probably the first sign of prediabetes.

Mmmmm...

"There were 33 million on the original 2009 procurement (ffp3 masks) list for the stockpile, but only 12 million have been handed out."

"
A government spokesperson said there was "limited demand" for the masks coming through the Supply Disruption Line, "which is one reason why they haven't all been distributed".

Fbg 6.7
at 3am

Temp 35.5

I have given up fighting this 3:00 a.m. waking up. I just get up now and do some stuff. But what I am doing now is going to bed much earlier so I get my hours of sleeping I need. It works okay.

We were promised a day of rain today. But the app now tells me it is a day of clouds....

So I might put my pastels out this morning if I can't smell any rain.

Going to do some sorting in the kitchen now. Back in a bit with a cuppa to see who's woken up.

My frog ponds do need filling up with with water, But I will leave that until after I have done my pastel painting because to do any watering invites the rain to come along immediately....

Take care

A popular wet and dull 5.8 this morning, by the sound of the dawn chorus the wildlife is loving it so I am happy too.

The thing with a beautiful garden is that I spend a lot of time making it look that way and a small amount being out there simply to enjoy it. When nature comes and enjoys Nature I know I did an ok job.

Coffee in the conservatory and the gentle sound of rain on glass, good morning world :)

Good morning everyone from another lock down, knock down day in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of sitting in the sunshine until your arms go red came in at 5.9 this am.

New morning routine;
Blood sugars
Inhaler
Tea
Rinse the beans for sprouting
Gas the chili peppers that are fermenting to make sriracha
Stir the poorly kefir
Water the seedlings
Koffy
A nice lay down

Planted some ginger yesterday, will see how that will work out, and also did some pickling. Just two jars; carrot with spices and a mixed radish, cucumber and red onion with dill. We still have pickled ginger left but will probably be pickling some more next week.
I got a delivery of something called Fibre Flour yesterday, a resistant wheat starch that replaces normal white flour and only 4% carbs. Will have a play with it today.

Have the most wonderful day that you can. Don’t listen to the news too much. Bird feeders to re-fill and then another koffy.

Winner for the mixed pickle with dill. I made a lacto fermented version with our home grown glut back in The Old Country as my good lady hasn't the same love for vinegar in all its varieties as myself. Good luck with the Fibre Flour. IDK what my fbg is as strips still not arrived. To be honest, even though I see something on the meter screen when I do test, I suspect I know just as much this morning. Chicken and Skilandis day today - sufficient unto the day.

I see your Kefir is poorly. Is this the kefir that was hibernating in your fridge or did you have to use your backup from the freezer?

Oh yes - lacto ferment - wonder if I should make some Kimchi? Maybe. I won’t worry about it. A kimchi day will look after itself and today has it’s own troubles - like will it stop dithering and either give me some sun or just get on with raining.

Took the dogs out at 6am before the rain started in earnest. Didn't even have one coffee before the walk. 5.5 fbs. Now am relaxing with coffee(s) in the conservatory listening to the rain on the roof.

It is the stuff that was hibernating in the fridge. I am trying to be patient with it, washing and changing the milk each morning - it could take a week or two - or nothing. Just have to wait and see.
