That's a cracking piece of digital art, reminded me of Tuscany early morning with the hill villages popping their heads above the early morning mist. Sit back and recover from your sublime yet crazy week with youngsters.Good morning everyone from a very quiet and pleasantly sunny morning here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of hake with pan roasted broccoli and a few podded beans came in at 4.7 this am
An uneventful trip down the motorway yesterday, delivering the ninky nonks back to their parents and then a quiet evening at home attempting to recover from a week of charging about like demented loons with not a care in the world.
Anoushka Shankar at the Proms on the Beeb last night, not sure about all the electronic accompaniment during the first half.
Hope everyone has a pleasant day whatever you have planned - I only have koffy planned - the rest of the day will unfold in it’s own good time (other times available, apart from that broadsheet nonsence).
Oh - clouds, hilltops and a few trees today

Well drawn candle, Christmas feel to it, likeit very much.My painting for today in Procreate following the candle tutorial.
Obviously I fail miserably compared to @Alien Aspie
Three quarters of an hour later...
My version of a candle (that's my excuse...), but I did learn a lot, and I know how to improve for next time.
And I do need to follow more of these mini tutorials.
And I need to create some more colour palettes.
My candle...

You are being kind. Thank you @Muddy CyclistWell drawn candle, Christmas feel to it, likeit very much.
My day will get busyfrom now on, lunch to cook so I painted Plein Air yesterday evening for today. This is the view from the front of our house that faces two Sandstone Outcrops with Oak Trees, I liked the colours in the sky which changed very quickly as I painted.. A4 watercolour about 15 minutes... oh I did miss out about a dozen houses that would be in the foreground, can't paint buildings.....

Good morning Tombliboos. A little expiation is in order from me. My lot is not at all onerous and my management of T2 has held this condition at bay for over 5 years along with significant weight loss. As an example, today's fbg of 5.3 via Stabbo is ok but displeases me or leaves me uneasy. It feels too high as does 75.3 kgs which, at about 6 foot tall, is fine. Add in the good news on the treatment of my bladder issues and I have much for which to be thankful. I know all that. It is the "feel" of LC and the outcomes being wholly sub-optimal that drive my feelings about this. For me this isn't the all singing, all dancing life enhancing cure all the success stories make out - it is ok as far as it goes.. No more no less.
There are LC foods I enjoy - principally salad with avocado in a tangy vinaigrette and green veg. I can't eat "the keto way" and don't achieve any decent level of bg management. A fair summary of my woe would be a huge daily salad with some form of protein and a few other bits and pieces. My journey has been almost opposite to yours. Enjoyed it to start with, probably due to weight loss and bg coming down. Now I'm pretty disillusioned with it as it is not very effective for me IMHO.
I have long understood that intelligence is not measured by the perceived importance of someone's livelihood, nor is it related to the level of one's education. You only have to look at how the country is run for that to be apparent![]()
Thank you. This is me being very laid back about something. My analysis of my last innings' every Monday was way more harsh. I have plenty of good advice on being relaxed about bg and consoling words for others. None of that applies to me. I am, of course, incredibly easy to live withDon't beat yourself up, Ian, you achieve very good fasting blood glucose results.D.

Hi Dunelm,One of our favourite walks and of course Bassenthwaite nearby - the only true lake in the lake district
Thank you @gennepher, pleased you like it - took longer than I thought
Yes, it’s pretty stunningHi Dunelm,
It is a long time since I was fit enough to go up there looking down on Bassingthwaite as if it was a map.
However, I use to like doing a Memory Map fly through when I had Windows 7 and XP.
