good evening all

4.1 this morning

been making another batch of jam for mum today before her visitors get here, it's blackcurrant and strawberry smells good but very sweet Only a couple of jars of each flavour because mum is the only one of us who usually eats it. mr gee will eat a bit occasionally on a scone but that's about the limit of it.

Was talking to someone I know from the village and when I said we had GP's in our practice I wasn't quite sure, but, apparently the process in our practice is that there are no face to face appts. initially. You call the health centre and they take some notes and then add you to a list which the doctor's work through by telephone. You get a telephone consult when they phone you and if they feel you absolutely need to be seen face to face they will give you a time to attend, you phone on arrival and they come and give you an anti covid quiz then let you in to see the doctor. She said that there are now only 4 chairs in the huge waiting room sounds fairly practical

@dunelm - that really is a lovely landscape in the trad. style, very detailed

@gennepher - that's a fun picture today, mum has a very old apple tree quite near her kitchen door, doesn't produce many apples now so at least there aren't many wasps

@JohnEGreen - that's a lovely looking scene

@Muddy Cyclist - that was a nice beginning with a lovely sky and the finished picture doesn't disappoint Lovely misty distance and skyline.

That's a very well painted beach scape. Those cliffs are so well depicted as is the light reflecting on the sea, love it.

Thank you for your kind comments. Jam - love home made jam - it does not love me back these days. Never mind.
Your painting certainly has an North East England coastal look about it. The colors are all there, the paleness of the sky reflecting off the water.

6.4 from me today, finally finished the paving although I now have a bruise covering most of my hand after mistaking said appendage for a piece of wood and hitting it with a lump hammer. It was a truly joyous moment of praise and exultations, dockside words from such an innocent mouth

The steroids have been seriously messing my bloods up, at one point I hit 14.0 and spent 6 hours trying to bring it down.

So, no art from me and here's hoping you enjoy your day

Good morning everyone from a morning of cloud filled hope of a decent day in the dark and dangerous northA

The wonder wheel of a simple home made korma with zero rice came in at 4.6 this am

We still have wasps hanging about the fig tree which is adjacent to one of the patio doors. The figs are turning sweet. Not all that tasty to us. The plant will be getting a severe knobbling in a few weeks time.

A couple of biking friends are up here for a few days so together with another local biking friend, we are meeting up and off over the moors the Whitby of chish and fips - battered or otherwise.

Have a wonderful pre-bin day, just a quick(ish) sketch today. Koffy on the go and then check the tyres on my bike.

A winner for the joyous moment as lead part in a comedy sketch and hopefully nothing damaged beyond repair. 14.0 -ouch - difficult to cope with side effects of steroids.

My daily painting challenge was to use the Procreate quick sketch I did a couple of days ago. And to create a gentle misty ethereal scene.

Did that happen? No. Because between the layers I put an all black layer, and used the rubber tool on the painting above. I am having fun...

So, instead here is a more dramatic painting...

Ouch for that 14, but sorry I had a slight chuckle for the battered appendix, I can see the whole episode unfurling before my eyes. However I truly hope the damage is not serious and nobody was in hearing distance.

That sounds like it was really painful. Hope the pain levels have gone down today.
