Aren't you glad you don't eat bread?

Haha! Love that first paragraph in the article.
Some of the most critical conundrums of the new millenium!

I liked the fact it was using an 'M&S Colin the Caterpillar' cake in the comparison chart :)
That made me smile.

I do eat bread. Most bread doesn't contain the added sugar. This is one specific bread. The title of your thread is misleading and suggestions that all bread is like the one you link to.

It was my little joke, and likewise clickbait. It is also true that anyone embracing a low carb life may be protected from at least some of the temptations of junk/ takeway food. I do know some people seek out or make for themselves low carb/ low sugar breads.

What I didn't like was the VAT on nuts! Nuts are a staple for me. High fiber, low carb, filling fat, need not be roasted (well... raw peanuts are an acquired taste lol) to be edible.

I don't eat bread or go to subway, though a salad could be ok.

Does anyone like me can't stand the smell of ordinary shop sold sliced loaf?
I do like the bakery smell of fresh bread.
Or is it just me?

I love the smell of fresh bread, unfortunately, nowadays the dough is delivered to the supermarket. We don't have artisan bakers close by.

Walking past shops stuffed with doughnuts and cakes is most unpleasant.

I can smell artificial ingredients before I taste them. Helps keep me on the straight and narrow.

Not glad I don't eat bread. One day at a time for this carb addict.
Still crave bread like vegetarians are supposed to crave bacon...
It doesn't have the hypo associations it must have for you I suppose.

ps I do think Subway bread is the Carlsberg Special Brew equivalent though when it comes to addiction.

Bread is basically cake anyway. In this case just with a little extra fructose. Let's not pretend regular bread is a health food.
