What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.6

My painting for today, in ZenBrush2, hearing about the even stricter lockdown measures just a moment ago that could be in place by Friday in Wales. "It never rains but it pours"

It is the idiots like my neighbour next door who has blatantly ignored ALL lockdown rules about family and grandchildren which he has in his home on almost a daily basis, and at weekends for meals, for the first lockdown, and the current one that started a fortnight ago, which included not having family in your home. So, will this circuit breaker to be announced on Friday have any effect on his actions...I very much doubt it.

He gives me a self-satisfied smirk as he guides his grandchildren and family in for the cooked meals, of which the smell wafts in my direction, tantalising me to want to wipe that smirk off his face.

I now need to break this fortnight self-isolation, which the flu jab nurse advised for my personal safety until the flu jab became effective.

I need to get some stuff in next week now.

your cartoon is a brilliant reflection of your mood. Sad times with conflicting opinions by those who purport to be in charge.

I do like this, at first I thought you had gone all Surrealist on us then looking again there was something beautiful, peaceful and compelling.

Thank you. It started with the quote, I was watching the last episode of Picard where it was used to emphasise the importance of death, that it lent meaning to life. The art has four parts: the skull for decay, the dove for the continuation of spirit, and the dark for the unknown.

The legs though?

I have that image sitting around in my folder for a while now. It reminded me that I have no facial recognition, that I recognise people through association with places, events, and familiarity. What is more familiar yet deliberately unseen than death. Patiently waiting for us all.

5.8 this morning. Had a sudden craving to Montezuma chocolate last night. I think it was all that talk about crumpets yesterday.

Today we are off to Gooderstone Water Gardens. Looking forward to seeing the autumn colours reflected in the water.. I love watching the changing of the seasons.

Good Morning and 6.3 for me today.

We are visiting two members of our band today we have agreed no singing and no wind instruments as we shall be in a sitting room so. Guitar, banjo, Mandolin, violin, lap steel, psaltery, bass, tabor, and Melodeon only four of us so they won't all be being played at once :) So if you are within hearing distance of Ironbridge you may need your earplugs as we murder many Tunes. :joyful:

Time passes quickly as @Alien Aspie Tempest quote suggests on his art today so use it wisely. Keep safe.

My thoughts exactly. And as you have ventured into stage drama today what a character part to play, Death. Fearsome, cruel, kind, peaceful, loving, patient, sometimes welcomed often unwelcome and yet inevitable. Sorry not meaning to be morbid but as you can see from my signature I have a thing about time passing, always have had it fascinates me how we waste such a precious thing and I know in my case it's the fear of this passing of time that makes me stay up late and rise early, sleep seems such a waste of time yet is much needed.:(

Thanks for the insight into today's art. :)

No need to apologise, I have that same fascination. Much of my poetry express those same sentiments. I can't say I have a fear of the passage of time but I have always lived life to the max, this year's isolation has been an important spiritual journey in understanding patience and acknowledging that death is not my enemy.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who have a slightly, well full belligerent mood invading their demeanour today.

A gentle 8.2 on the meter of misbehaving and naughtiness this morning.

Mrs J has produced a picture on one of the painting programs. I am not allowed to post the painting. Given time and the patience of Job, Mrs J might relent.

I was asked a simple question this morning
" Are you going out on the bike today? "
My negative repy made me realise that from Mrs J's facial expression that perhaps going out on the bike might have produced a more harmonious late afternoon and evening.

Hehehehe stuff that "cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war " or some such quote. As I mentioned at the beginning of this post belligerence is the rule of day.

I didn't realise until yesterday that if one travels from a high tier area to a lower tier area you carry with you the former areas higher restrictions.
But I don't know how it's enforceable?

I was under the impression that if u are in a high tier you are not suppose to travel ( unless for work ) In Cardiff we are not allowed out of our area . Tesco is just up the road from where I live but because it is technically in cardiff and the vale we are not allowed to shop there !. If all this wasn't so serious it would be laughable .

I know ( re your neighbour ) it's infuriating some people are so selfish . I have family and friends that have been more or less in isolation since march .

Their taking a chance if they dont boil or chlorinate it!
We took water off a fell spring at a transmitter I was at and I was given the job of looking after the water system when I got there and had the job for over twenty years. We could have risked liver fluke, so we had a chlorinator.

Keeping in touch with family is one of The good sides of technology.

On the water front we have friends in Shropshire who's water comes from a spring, they have to regularly unblock the shower heads as they get bunged up with fresh water shrimps. Often when we have a meal there you can find them swimming around in your water glass, very strange and takes some getting used to.

Don't mention Montezuma I had a touch of his revenge yesterday and got a delicate inside today.
I hope its not Covid but I have not had the trots for 15 years or so!

Morning all. No fbg due to intransigent LC negotiators. My body is a sovereign entity and although I signed a withdrawal from carbs agreement I refuse to be held hostage by quotas on taste - in both uses of the word. Never mind odd shaped bananas, the keto crew would have me open my borders to all manner of immigrant substances. Where are the islands of Psyllium Husk or The Polyols? Do they even play cricket? Thousands of recipes landing on the what did you eat thread daily, unrecognisable as human food. Unless progress is made urgently I'm leaving on SWAM terms (salad with avocado and mackerel). As for that other problem, just wash yer hands and hope Dido doesn't go down with the ship. Us posh boys don't have time for all this caring stercore. Pip Pip old toots.
Very droll, Ian!:)

I await Mrs J's relent so we can see her beautiful artwork :)
She is definitely perseverant.

Try and enjoy your day :)

It makes a mockery of it all, doesn't it from the selfish do as I like people @mojo37

Well, at least you now know Montezuma sorts out bunged up transit. Very useful to know in these days of doctorless GP (a misnomer now) surgeries, and Pharmacies that have an everlasting queue outside because they only let one person in at a time @lindisfel
;)

7.4 today I just keep travelling up and down on the 7 scale ( maybe its a form of lockdown lol )

4.9 this morning.

Hope you are all feeling well. all the art posted has as usual been superb.

@dunelm I must say I have been enjoying your latest commercial on the TV of late.
