What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone on a clock change day which seems to be about as good as can be expected, weatherwise. For me that marks 22 weeks to see out officially but maybe only 18-20 in practice. MIL's domestic tragedy still rumbles on. She has spent 2 nights with No 3 son very closely guarded by: The 48th Fighter Wing: Vision: To remain USAFE's premier combat wing, capable of dominating any adversary." So fairly safe! Julie is collecting her to meet a plumber we have engaged to fix the issues Homeserve abandoned - not a company to use IMHO.I think Julie is really making friends with their complaints department - they chat for hours:angelic: Good to see several people have signed the petition for holiday meals.let us hope common sense and decency prevail.. Should you have any spare money not destined for the help Dido fund this is the charity through which Marcus Rashford seems to channel funds - https://fareshare.org.uk/ @SaskiaKC good humour and nice to see you here again. @lindisfel great tuneage. Everyoe else - unleash the inner beast.

I get you. Completely @mojo37
I have been wresting with this all day yesterday in my mind. It made me really tired.
It is one thing I think (depending if it is drug dealing or something, then yes I do) that is a slippery road once you do start reporting people.
I just don't want to go down that path.
But in this case with his blatant disregard of lockdown, last time and this, I am so close to reporting him.
I emailed a Welsh friend last night for her views on this. I know she will help me and support me if I go ahead with this.

Anyone else on here can give me input on this, if they want to. I welcome it. I don't mind what your opinions are. Because this is a very divisive issue.
Well I work for the NHS not on the front line but many of my friends due and if these people were my neighbours I would report the situation . I assume that it can be done anonymously. I'm not advocating reporting people for petty things but as you said these people have flouted the rules throughout the first proper lockdown and are continuing to do so. Obviously this situation is distressing you so the choices that I see you have are either report them or try and ignore them neither choice without some stress either way sending you a virtual hug

Good morning everyone from a bright and breezy start in the dark and dangerous north

the wonder wheel of my famous Chinese influenced One Pan Thing - this episode featuring lardons, chorizo, some green and sliced radish (they do fry well) then dropped on top of home made low carb bread with a dollop of home made green tomato chutney came in at 4.9 this am.

Not a lot happening today, at least hereabouts. It’s turning into a very lazy weekend but I have managed to get stuck into my latest book. Today is a bridge over very untroubled water with just a light wash. Hope everyone has as good a day as you can. Must get more koffy today.

Your meal sounds absolutely delicious to me @dunelm

and your Chinese paintings are brilliant and are tantalising me to get started on doing mine properly...but it will be a few days yet, because I am procrastinating on clearing my painting table...

A fine traditional subject ink sketch. Again these light washes work well.

I don't know how you would do that yet.

It is stressing me both ways.
It is like you are d@mned if you do, and you are d@mned if you don't.
Usually if I am pushed into that kind of situation, then I go ahead with it, because there is no easy or comfortable solution for myself.
If they have their family over today as well as yesterday, then I know how that will tip the scales for me.
I have given myself until the end of today.
And I decide tomorrow.

Good Morning and 5.5 for me today. As you all know I have been getting many 6+ as fasting numbers, I expected today's BG to be 7+ as last nights meal was everything off limits. Mrs MC cooked a Chick Pea Quiche and served it with roasted potatoes, carrots, parsnips and Peas this was followed by an Apple Crumbke and Cheese and Biscuits, Mrs MC usually prepares me a less Carby meal but as we had been out working at MILs it was not possible as daughter, SIL and grandaughter came back home with us for a meal. SO WHY THE LOW BG TODAY? I give up non of this makes any sense anymore. However don no fear I shall persevere with LC as I have seen the benefits to Type 2. Maybe it was the good familycompany.

Bright and cheery outside, blue skies and wonderful colours, a walk today I think.

Don't be fooled by time its still the same time as yesterday, enjoy your 25 hour day. :) Keep Safe

Fbg 6.2

Silly me woke up and got up at 3 am this morning (like I often do).
I sorted the kitchen, did the pots, tidied a drawer.
Came back to bed at 6:45 am, and turned my iPad on.
iPad said it was 5:45am...
I didn't get that clock changing memo...

So, I did my painting on Chinese paper for today.
I made a mistake of trying to move the wet paint with my finger at the top. You can see the paper is damaged.

I used my Art Kure Japanese Brush pens again, and the water spray.
The drawing was meant to be more delicate, but it was on the sopping wet paint again.

So do not move paint around with your finger on Chinese paper. It tears pieces off.

Those people are placing you and everyone else in the area in danger and an invidious position. Their basic premise is no one will bother to report us and we are entitled to our "freedom" Their freedom clearly beats other people's right to life. Are there other people in your road/part of the world who may also be equally outraged? Hug and thoughts are with you - presumably many others in the same boat.

We had a letter yesterday from our district council, Cannock Chased DC all residents in the area have had one. It states the district is in Tier 1 and then lists the rules and suggestions we should follow in this Tier. Then in bold it says this is the additional advice your district council is giving. I quote...
' A. Avoid mixing with people from other households.
'B. If over 65 take extra care.
C. If previously you had a letter telling you to shield stay at home.'

OK all sensible advice but does this not take us into a completely different Tier?

I'm not surprised some people are doing their own thing or just confused as there does not seem to be a great deal of consistency from our leaders.

I know @ianpspurs
And I agree with what you say about him and his family.
They might be outraged, but I am pretty certain that no one will inform on him. Why? Because most of the people in this road (including my neighbour) lived in the same city as I lived before I came here, and you did not inform on people. You did not.

I need to talk to a few more friends...

Mixed messages.
Not good.

Those colours are bold and cheerful a fine result even though damaged. I have never used such Paper does it hold the colour pigment more than watercolour paper?

Hugs for your neighbour ordeal. We are very fortunate as all in our small close seem to be very respectful of the guidelines and rules. A difficult decision to report or not when and if you do decide and feel it's necessary to report do it with a level head and not from an emotional reaction. Take care.

So, Hygge has had the allowed 15 minutes of fame, or more likely cash in the tills. Koselig is the new money spinner, sorry buzzword. Personally, anything that means you need to wear socks, long sleeved tops, base layers, long trousers and sleep under a duvet is fundamentally wrong This is how impoverished folks who read The Telegraph are urged to cope - poor darlings. Paywall may block you - I pay to see what my enemies think. The Mail is a step too far and has rubbish sports reporting I'm told @Muddy Cyclist and @gennepher the mixed messages are deliberate. Set a flexible framework and blame "the people" when R takes off. The 56 year old Boy Wonder accepts no responsibility for where this ends up.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist
I don’t think it holds the colour pigment more than water colour paper.
My Art Kure brush pens are incredibly pigmented. I have had them a very long time. And most of them still work. If I get that paint on my skin, it doesn’t come off for a few days. If I used ordinary watercolour on here it wouldn’t be as strong as this. Though I do have some other paints that are very pigmented. But generally watercolour would be more faded than this.

Wise words. Anything I do will be objective and level headed.

I am just going to reply to Ian now because there is something in what he says that I have noticed.

I think along the same lines, The plan from day one. However there are many left, right and centralist leaders the world over making similar moves and decisions so I start to wonder on how big a scale this is, it seems to me to have less to do with political persuasion and more to do with lack of strong leaders.
