It is very sad @Muddy CyclistThank you. I know the valley well sad it can't be visited.
It was my yearly 'pilgrimage' and I made a special day of it.

Thank you.Very dramatic, lots of movement, and then those thunder clouds closing in.
Beautiful colours in the trees - what’s the name of that chap - Muddy Waters.Out for a walk yesterday afternoon in our hamlet after heavy rain.
Skiddaw broad end always somewhere on the skyline. Here it is just between the trees over the sheep.

The river had a lot of brown water from the fells.

You live in a beautiful location. Hope you were well anchored to get that River photo, a wrong step would have more than wet feet.Out for a walk yesterday afternoon in our hamlet after heavy rain.

Well I work for the NHS not on the front line but many of my friends due and if these people were my neighbours I would report the situation . I assume that it can be done anonymously. I'm not advocating reporting people for petty things but as you said these people have flouted the rules throughout the first proper lockdown and are continuing to do so. Obviously this situation is distressing you so the choices that I see you have are either report them or try and ignore them neither choice without some stress either way sending you a virtual hugI get you. Completely @mojo37
I have been wresting with this all day yesterday in my mind. It made me really tired.
It is one thing I think (depending if it is drug dealing or something, then yes I do) that is a slippery road once you do start reporting people.
I just don't want to go down that path.
But in this case with his blatant disregard of lockdown, last time and this, I am so close to reporting him.
I emailed a Welsh friend last night for her views on this. I know she will help me and support me if I go ahead with this.
Anyone else on here can give me input on this, if they want to. I welcome it. I don't mind what your opinions are. Because this is a very divisive issue.
Good morning everyone from a bright and breezy start in the dark and dangerous north
the wonder wheel of my famous Chinese influenced One Pan Thing - this episode featuring lardons, chorizo, some green and sliced radish (they do fry well) then dropped on top of home made low carb bread with a dollop of home made green tomato chutney came in at 4.9 this am.
Not a lot happening today, at least hereabouts. It’s turning into a very lazy weekend but I have managed to get stuck into my latest book. Today is a bridge over very untroubled water with just a light wash. Hope everyone has as good a day as you can. Must get more koffy today.

A fine traditional subject ink sketch. Again these light washes work well.Good morning everyone from a bright and breezy start in the dark and dangerous north

Those people are placing you and everyone else in the area in danger and an invidious position. Their basic premise is no one will bother to report us and we are entitled to our "freedom" Their freedom clearly beats other people's right to life. Are there other people in your road/part of the world who may also be equally outraged? Hug and thoughts are with you - presumably many others in the same boat.Thank you for your input @mojo37
I don't know how you would do that yet.
It is stressing me both ways.
It is like you are d@mned if you do, and you are d@mned if you don't.
Usually if I am pushed into that kind of situation, then I go ahead with it, because there is no easy or comfortable solution for myself.
If they have their family over today as well as yesterday, then I know how that will tip the scales for me.
I have given myself until the end of today.
And I decide tomorrow.

We had a letter yesterday from our district council, Cannock Chased DC all residents in the area have had one. It states the district is in Tier 1 and then lists the rules and suggestions we should follow in this Tier. Then in bold it says this is the additional advice your district council is giving. I quote...
' A. Avoid mixing with people from other households.
'B. If over 65 take extra care.
C. If previously you had a letter telling you to shield stay at home.'
OK all sensible advice but does this not take us into a completely different Tier?
I'm not surprised some people are doing their own thing or just confused as there does not seem to be a great deal of consistency from our leaders.
Those colours are bold and cheerful a fine result even though damaged. I have never used such Paper does it hold the colour pigment more than watercolour paper?Fbg 6.2
Silly me woke up and got up at 3 am this morning (like I often do).
I sorted the kitchen, did the pots, tidied a drawer.
Came back to bed at 6:45 am, and turned my iPad on.
iPad said it was 5:45am...
I didn't get that clock changing memo...
So, I did my painting on Chinese paper for today.
I made a mistake of trying to move the wet paint with my finger at the top. You can see the paper is damaged.
I used my Art Kure Japanese Brush pens again, and the water spray.
The drawing was meant to be more delicate, but it was on the sopping wet paint again.
So do not move paint around with your finger on Chinese paper. It tears pieces off.

Hugs for your neighbour ordeal. We are very fortunate as all in our small close seem to be very respectful of the guidelines and rules. A difficult decision to report or not when and if you do decide and feel it's necessary to report do it with a level head and not from an emotional reaction. Take care.
I think along the same lines, The plan from day one. However there are many left, right and centralist leaders the world over making similar moves and decisions so I start to wonder on how big a scale this is, it seems to me to have less to do with political persuasion and more to do with lack of strong leaders.Cyclist and @gennepher the mixed messages are deliberate. Set a flexible framework and blame "the people" when R takes off. The 56 year old Boy Wonder accepts no responsibility for where this ends up.
