Thank you @geefull - no, you no longer have to travel to Montignac to see finger daubs. Yes, trees do tend to cwtch up - especially in Wales when it’s cold like in your smashing landscape.good evening all
4.5 today
a wet and windy day today but better than the freezing we had yesterdayI do find being cold trying
Picked up the weekly list from mum so we're asw ready as we can be for shopping early doors tomorrow
Hope your day treats you kindly
@Muddy Cyclist - what a splendid painting!, your art always inspires me. that sky is lovely. dramatic and pleasing
@dunelm - interesting new technique and I like the result, quite 'Lascaux' esqueI think water buffalo, it's the grand sweep of the horns

@gennepher - thank you for the the information on the form of the poem, it's not one I've met before. I look forward to hearing about and perhaps seeing the results of your papermaking. A lovely if a little sad painting today in light of your decision to step back. I send hugs for your sad news and hope you will be back when you feel able to. Your art and the spirit behind it will be missed.
art bit - it was in my mind to ask today about our daily art resolution from last New Year. I began along with @gennepher and @Muddy Cyclist even if I didn't get up the courage to post things immediately and it's has been both a joy and a good discipline
I feel I should try to continue.
today was me trying to make my trees a bit more 3D, not bad but not a howling success, they've sort of melted together

Ooh! That looks cold. I am going to have to look at the willows in the park. You are going to be so fed up of my Willow Trees. The second in my series of 3 so only one more to go then I will wait u til Spring to visit them again. It started out a misty sunset but became a misty snow scene, seen too much snow today.
A4 watercolour 90 minutes.

Nice road, our Cannock Chase is deep in snow at the moment, looks very pretty however we have no wild beasts to motivate us when cycling. This is for you, @Muddy Cyclist -- looks kinda like a road near where I live --

That would definitely motivate @Muddy Cyclist . Now what I need is something to motivate me to do my bank reconciliations. This is for you, @Muddy Cyclist -- looks kinda like a road near where I live --

A good hazy sun walk in the park. There is a lot of depth and I like the detail in the row of distant trees blending into the misty day.Good morning everyone from a cold and dark start to international bin day in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel is still being held hostage in the medicine cupboard (for we have such a thing) but I can imagine that the chunk of Wensleydale with that piece of Christmas cake would not have amused it.
A small rain free window yesterday resulted in a small exodus into the park where, after only 40 minutes, the window closed and hoods were raised.
Oxford AstraZeneca is now on the march - wonder which one we will get and will the fashion conscious be bragging about brand. Talk again about herd immunity, “the head of the herd was calling, far far away”.
Plants in the park today on a bit of backing paper. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Koffy is ready.

Sorry to read that your ears are playing up and hope that the vacuuming works for you tomorrow. Yes, snow an ice not a good combination when on two wheels. I don’t mind riding my motorcycle in snow but ice is a real no-no especially that black stuff. Had a very brief exchange of Christmas greetings with AA a week ago via other means but no idea when back.Good Morning and 6.2 for me today.
A real good freeze here over night so snow is hanging around, will not be taking the risk of a Bike Ride, snow is OK but snow and ice are a bad combination, discovered that the hard way a few years back.
No plans other than a lot of tilting my head on alternative sides for Mrs MC to pour copious amounts of Olive Oil into them in the hope vacuuming removes wax Thursday morning.
Keep safe.
PS do we know if and when AA will be back?
Oh dear, sounds like digestives need to be stashed in some place not in a kitchen cupboard.Morning
Woke to 6.8 this morning and had a Lift tab, 7.9 come breakfast time an hour later, I hear a lot thinking well why did she have glucose when she was high 6's anyway but if like me you'd had daily morning hypo's for over a week I'm sure you would also do anything and everything to stop them
Was a bit miffed last night as went to grab a couple of digestives before to find my mum had yet again helped herself, wouldn't have been so bad if that hadn't been the only ones I had left! Fed up of her thinking it's fine and leaving me in a potentially dangerous situation but hey ho there's no getting that through to her
xx
I feel your pain. So many high carb roots cluttering up the veg isles during this period of transition and roasted lettuce gives no relief.Morning all be it good bad or undecided the sun will still rise. Today I swear Swipey bounded up to me @ 5.21 with a 4.3 shaped stick in its mouth . Probably just be a hologram. While I am musing on the absurd, this fashionable sovereignty schtick has its flaws. I dutifully adopted said nostrum to my festive food. Who would have imagined in an environment geared to produce and consume high carb root vegetables and sweet sugary treats at the darkest time of the year OMAD salads would feel so soul destroying? But celebrate the world leading success, the outstanding deal which has helped your fbg prosper mightily I hear you all chorus. You are just an unreconstructed carb remainer. There are, admittedly, some transition issues (that certainly) such as feeling cold, waking at 3.55 and punctured ear drums from my dear wife - you don't eat enough announced via Alexa every 10 mins. Still, there's always Jose's increasingly generous shower to make me feel so much better before bedtime. Pip Pip old toots.
Hi Dunelm,Oh dear, sounds like digestives need to be stashed in some place not in a kitchen cupboard.
They are just on the worktop in a tub, apparently even though I pay to live here it's not my house so in her words I'm not entitled to cupboard space and unfortunately I have no room in my bedroom as there's bags of shopping all over the floor etc as it is with not being entitled to cupboard space xxOh dear, sounds like digestives need to be stashed in some place not in a kitchen cupboard.
No problem here. Julie doesn't like salad, avocado, mackerel in EVO, flaxseed or ACV. However, if let off the reservation I'm partial to panettone, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, parsnips, mini chocolates etc - infact Christmas really minus Christmas cake and Christmas pudding. Like a clown I said we must finally put up our table for Christmas. Way to make life easier EinsteinHi Dunelm,
I have the same problem with my 85% dark chocolate I keep on the top shelf of the fridge.D.
