What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

"These are not just any shoes, these are (Rubbish Store) shoes". Heavy outdoor brogue style with Goodyear welted sole. All completely redundant after 18 months as the HOLLOW heals became exposed. Took them back. No credit or comment.
Now I do have some Timberland boots. These are the canine round objects.
Great phraseology young man. I like Timberland products but they are not British ergo not world leading:angelic:

Hope that the trading estate survived the charging mobility scooter. Smashing sepia industrial scene, I can see the bridge and even know where it is I think - tall supporting stanchions with lots of string pouring forth.
The trading estate just survived :banghead:
That is why I call it the String Bridge
But you can see the power of it as you approach it...

Sounds like you had a successful runout.

Nice Dawn, power stations at dawn and sunset can be so dramatic and take on a beauty that they don't deserve. Your art today captured it well a beautiful dawn picture.
Thank you.
I have always been fascinated even as a teenager the magic that can transform power stations in a misty rosy dawn, to a fairyland of castles...

Good morning everyone on a quiet start to International Bin Day here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of egg salad with crumbled crispy bacon came in at 4.8 this am.

Rained nearly all day yesterday - that noisy rain that sometimes turns to sleet just hammer on the windows to get your attention. Expect that the park will be even more wetterer than a wet thing in wet town next the sea. On the other side of the country, Cumbria seems to getting hit badly with this new variant - staying indoors is probably a good bet, only venturing out when absolutely necessary. Although, some people have strange ideas about what the word ‘necessary’ conjures up. The heels in my boots have worn away, exposing the inner material - Keen - that’s the brand. Bought just 2 years ago. I do tend to wear them each day, they have had a lot of use but I find it sad that modern footwear can’t be repaired. I will hang on to them until the cobbler opens again and see what he thinks.

Cows - no, not that place on the Isle of Wight - that has an ‘e’ in it like Irish whiskey - rather, buffalo - and thought that they should be playing in some water. Have a wonderful Wednesday - a good as it can be. I’m starting with koffy.

Great water buffalo @dunelm
Powerful beasts...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, today is national bin day, my how it comes around fast.

A 6.0 on that wayward meter this morning.

I might look up that poem that starts something like this " I knew an engineer before he died etc etc ", then again I might not.

Is their a song that has the lyrics " All we are saying is give etc etc ". So how about giving this this covid management team a chance.

I'm only allowed out once a day for exercise and already done that, drat, me and me's will just have to cause mayhem across the internetty.
Have a great day all.

Morning campers. Are we all behaving ourselves?
FBG Swipington Bear came in at 4.5 ➡️ which was nice considering I was up in the 9s for my end of day reading.
Cardio Boxing done although I still remain unconvinced that the Wii's new home in the study is working as well as the front room used to. Will see how I get on when I try the Wii Fit Balance Board on Friday.

Tennis is BACK! So time to immerse myself back in the sport of smacking to death the little yellow fluffies.

You are of course right to be concerned and see the folly involved, The hug is for caring and the need to feel such scant trust in our elected leaders. I'm an odd person to be saying this and a presumptuous young pup to attempt to offer the thread sage advice but don't take it so heavy, dearie. You are a rational man and the spirit of the age is for some ill conceived kind of creative destruction. Get thee some chicken soup for the soul.
Its good to clean all the pipes out now and again.
It was like riding a motorbike one had to take it out occasionally and euphemistically clean out all the cobwebs!;)

Great, and the female Braveheart in Scotland has stopped Donald duck coming over to play golf.
They should lock him up on that island you can see from the Golden Gate bridge.
D.

Hahah yes I saw that about the golf. And thoroughly agree... re: Donald Duck being the new Birdman!

Hi all

Nice little run out @gennepher
Store staff seemed decent

And Decent shoes..so hard to find.
And then when you do, and get them all worn in how you like...
And can't get them repaired.:arghh:

Bit down today..
Just back from hospital.
Doc says if he'd seen me on my missed appointment..he'd have operated .

Now it's 3 weeks on, he thinks it's 50-50 if it heals and he'll see at next appointment if he has to operate..

So on the bright side I might go 8-10 weeks in boot, and then with physio, work at getting back to normal..

Or not.:sorry:

Just seen Johnson in HoC on TV .
Never has my ghast been so flabbered at his blatant nonsense..:banghead:

Live long & prosper.

Off to bed until end of Jan.:bag:

I guess its not too bad if they last two years.
My dry keen boots are ok.
Marjorie has a pair and she made a pair of Raichle last years.
We both got each other a pair of Keen heavy duty shoes for Christmas, hope they are ok.
I have had to buy New Balance trainers in a black leather for some years cos they had a 15.5 that fitted me...they fall apart after a few months of Cumbrian wet weather.
One just has to put ones hand in ones pocket, dunelm.:)D.
