No time, just off to get blood tests done, serious and not so serious, liver function, diabetic, well man and lastly warfarin all organised for the only 2 special shielding appointments that they have a day at my local GP'so.

Bloods this morning 7.1 well within my range.

Me and me's hope all goes well for @dunelm 's mum and you all have a great day.
Good luck with the appointment - hope all goes well for you

I don't know what is up with sleeping. For two nights running these are like the nights of a thousand years. Time is playing games and is stretching and stretching. I am not particularly worried about anything. I have been in the garden both days before bedtime for a bit. It would be lovely to go to bed and wake up 8 hours later...

Just having a glass of water, then trying again...

Oh, and yesterday there was a post online in the local next door site saying that there were people not turning up for their Covid vaccination appointments at the local Rainbow hospital, and to ring this number and you would be put on a list. It was for over 70's. And you could be given an appointment to attend within a couple of hours to fill in for a missed appointment. It seemed odd. Anyway, I checked it out just now to see if there had been any responses to the post. But the post has been removed. Was it a scam?

UPDATE EDIT
Found out what it was.
I was a bit slow there.
Apparently it was thieves, getting you out of the house for a specific time. They were targeting the over 70's.
So, this was a 'good' way to get an older person out of the house for a specific time frame, that only the thieves knew.
So, be very aware.
That is shocking - scammers!
Have you tried a herbal tea before bed - Pukka do a night time one - my mum has them and likes them

I know the feeling for dwindling rations, our situation yesterday but today all fridges and cupboards are full after yesterday's Tesco adventure.

Great tree in those blue mountains from you today. Get some more rice paper we need your daily contributions don't want any interruptions in production.
Thanks @Muddy Cyclist - another sheaf of paper discovered hiding in the conservatory so OK for now but will be ordering more supplies.

I have done some more to my Avenue of Beech Trees. Not as much as I would have liked as I had to get on recording multiple instruments for a band piece being done virtually, 'Lady Belle Catherine' fast so many mistakes before I got some of the instruments sounding OK.

A4 watercolour will finish Wednesday...

good evening all :)

4.6 today

cold and windy today so we only had a short walk, nice views over the firth to the snowy hills further North :)

I also managed to prune a couple of rose bushes in mum's garden but I forgot my gloves :sorry: so my hands are a bit scratched now, I didn't notice until I went back into the house, the wind was pretty cold :hilarious:

Shopping day tomorrow and we have snow forecasts of various levels for the rest of the week.

According to the website our surgery is still waiting for vaccine supplies for the next age group (75-79 years), so, no vaccination for mr gee and I yet a while.

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@gennepher - hugs for the disturbed sleep, we have dug out a SAD lamp we bought a couple of years ago to see if it will help :)
Lovely branches of plum blossom @gennepher and I like the misty mountain in the background :joyful:

@dunelm - like the tree, very refined and also the mountain background. The rice paper has a pleasing texture :)

@alf_Josiah - good fortune to your bloodletting endeavours :)

@Muddy Cyclist - Hope the multitracking comes together well and that's a fine start to your beech avenue, I like the colours you've brought into the bark very much :joyful:

art bit - usual sort of thing ;)

Hi
Snow coming down at breakfast and intermittently through am.
Roads bad over hills but mainly thawing down here as day rolled on. It was wet snow.

However, great difficulty keeping my feet from sliding on the slope even with a proper walking pole when I went up the back garden to the shed to put some bird seed down for all the birds we get.
What is notable is, we are getting approximately 30 Yellow Hammers, now.
It's costing a lot feeding the birds this year!

Thank you for your appreciation of my Beech Trees. Still working on the music endeavours.

'usual sort of thing' Is another great success. You have portrayed the winter light masterfully and the foreground rocks and grass, understated and yet powerful in giving depth to the whole landscape, very good painting.

Thank you @geefull
I love your 'usual sort of thing' paintings very much.
@Muddy Cyclist has sung his praises on this, and I can't add anything, except I think you are brilliant in the detail you appear to effortlessly portray in your paintings...

UPDATE
Wow, I have just been sent a bio on Postcrossing to send a post card to, and he does what I do, but I have never found anyone yet who admits to doing this...
Part of his bio..."Nonetheless, I don´t mind being alone and being lazy as a log once and a while eating all too much sweets. You just lay down on a bed and stare at the ceiling or you lay on a hammock in the countryside in summer and stare at the sky. Thoughts can also be walked outside in the fresh air by lying in a bed indoors. This is very, very important sometimes... just to do nothing at all. The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time! And how many people do this in modern society? Very few."
He does a lot of sport activities too, but does the above as well.
I like it!

MrSlim has not been well for a few days.
It's horrible seeing him in such discomfort and being unable to help in any way.
He has had episodes like this before, but this one is longer and seems more debilitating. He has even stopped insisting he is fine...

A good dual effort in your art today, nice blossom detail and good contrasting light.

As for bio, stopping and transcending is good and as my old mom used to say 'Remember to smell the roses along the way'
