still can't get the numbers down as yet..
7.6..ho hum

on the plus side, been a lot more active
with right ankle strapped and in hiking boots, i can now mobilise
independent of crutches...Joy oh joy..

and yesterday, i even had the audacity to try out the scooter, all ok..so off i went.
drove to nephews to collect some bits from my stay, then onto supermarket.

the independence of my own mode of travel was exhilarating and the pleasure of looking at the food
on offer in the supermarket and deciding i want 'that'
can not be overstated.

as an aside.. a few weeks out of circulation and what a difference in the store.

everyone, i mean everyone in a mask, shop was fairly busy too.

off to cook my own breakfast, :D

Welcome to Wednesday which is very mild, dry and relatively bright for Feb in this area. Swipey - on its last legs - was insistent my fbg be 4.8 at 6.17 pm. I hadn't the heart to disabuse it of that preposterous notion by verifying with Stabbo. Kudos to all who are enjoying good results and find ample pleasure in the LC method. Just now this is a grind with scant pleasure for me which makes me feel some guilt but I am reminded daily that I must confess my manifold sins and wickedness; and that I should not dissemble nor cloak them. Hug for Mr Slim @SlimLizzy; many thanks for the artwork @geefull , @gennepher @dunelm and @Muddy Cyclist.

Good morning everyone from the cold and wet inside of an otter’s pocket here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of ‘what’s cooking in that Ninja’ came in at 4.8 this am

My mother’s hip op dance routine went well so it’s not three days of intensive physio and then, all being well, home with a list of exercises and daily visits from the physio.
It’s Mrs Miggins’ birthday today and strangely enough it’s her twin sisters also. We usually go out for the day but I have the makings of an afternoon tea and one of those teapots for one sitting atop a cup and saucer - it’s all a bit Laura Ashley.

@Muddy Cyclist - Great Beech avenue looking extremely good - Lady Belle Catherine - I am pretty sure that my mother used to Clog to that one. Sounds a bit French/Cajun?
@geefull - thank you, your usual sort of thing is always so well and soothingly good - a great pleasure to see.
@gennepher - A super and well composed Cherry Blossom - I like the petals falling away from the tree - lazy days - I agree, they really are not doing nothing as some may suppose. Some of my cherished moments have been sitting on top of a hill or mountain and - well, just sitting on top of a hill or mountain.
@SlimLizzy - sorry to hear that Mr Slim is having a bad time of it - hugs abound, hope he turns a corner very soon.

Magpies - Pica Pica - quite a few in the park so let’s have a go - lots of bird looking shapes on my backing paper yesterday morning - some still in the early stages of evolving from dinosaurs. Anyhow, hope everyone has a splendid bin day. Koffy calls and other sounds await.

MrSlim has not been well for a few days.
It's horrible seeing him in such discomfort and being unable to help in any way.
He has had episodes like this before, but this one is longer and seems more debilitating. He has even stopped insisting he is fine...

Oh @SlimLizzy

i do hope he makes a quick recovery.

can you say more of what ails him?

my dad was like that all stoic.
began having trouble urinating, tried to ignore it
took to his bed & not eat for a few days, and it then passed.
but it kept coming back and the time in bed got longer.

until one day mum owned up and said what had been happening..(she's kept it quiet, under his request)
when i arrived he was so poorly, i called ambulance right away, despite his fervent wishes not to.

at hospital it was all revealed as to the issue, though they weren't able to resolve it..

At some point, if it's a recurring issue, the best place to be IS with a doctor investigating it.

self medication,, yeah ok up to a point. perhaps that point has come ?

(perhaps it's has been dx'd, in which case sorry for stating the obvious )

best wishes to Mr Slim...xx

& remember to take care of yourself as well
easy to lose sight of the fact YOU need to be well
enough to look after him, if needed..

Sorry to upbraid a gentleman and scholar of your renown but bin day in Little Bidenland is on the morrow. Happy birthday Mrs Miggins and twin sister. Despite the veiled protestations a man with no eyes can see you love a spot of Laura A and burnish your new man credentials at every opportunity.

Hope Mr Slim feels a lot better very soon. He is definitely feeling unwell if he has stopped insisting he is fine.

Ah - but International Bin Day falls on Odins Day. Must dash, I have a mug of tea to deliver and also to wrap up a replacement ironing board cover.

Thanks @gennepher - I am not allowed on swings after the last episode that cannot be mentioned and am relegated to duty pusher for the grandchildren.

Some real gems in here. Standout for me: I’m afraid I find it difficult to shake the conviction that anything that annoys Priti Patel should be encouraged in principle. Made I laarf

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate national bin day.

A 5.6 on that meter of misbehaving and mystery this morning.

Many thanks for all the best wishes over the blood letting yesterday all went well with not a drop splashing on to the floor.
Me and me's hope Mr Slim recovers soon @SlimLizzy and a special mention for @dunelm 's Mrs Miggins enjoy your day.
@ianpspurs today is national bin day, it is your collection day that is out of kilter, words must be had the the relevant authorities.
Here in Tilehurst Towers Mrs J is chattering away about menus, me and me's have no interest in what is being said, but me and me's know through bitter experience that attention better be applied quickly.
Enjoy your day and remember trying to act your age is as sensible as trying to act your house number.

Onwards and upwards on the mobility and downwards on the blood sugars early days still.

And waffling on about mobility it's good to read @dunelm 's mothers op went well, it probably won't be long before she's chasing him around the garden with a stick for some misdemeanour.

Must do an online course on becoming an influencer just as long as I don’t have to visit Dubai.
