What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Amongst the many reasons to thank God yesterday was this loaf I baked (well, me the bread maker and packet of Skinnybread ) (1.1 gms carb per 100 gms). I did have to shape the loaf at the apposite time, measure the water and add extra yeast. Tiny wins and celebrations are very much the order of the day.

Archie does that very deep sleep thing occasionally. So pleased that Popeye went back to much more normal sleep. I feel the same about Archie because 10.7 is the average lifespan of chocolate Labradors and he will be 15 this year.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are wondering about the weather, isn't it a marvel of nature. If you start to think about the mechanism of weather you soon end up in chaos.

Talking of chaos my bloods sugars this morning were 4.7 grrr another session of playing with the steam driven electric sliderule, tea bag reading and wet finger in the air guesstimate just to calculate my insulin dosage.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers how do you think your day is going to go? Is your turn to bark at the postman or your other halves? Will you be pancake tossing, low carb pancakes of course?

Here in damp Tilehurst Towers we have two things planned firstly a beard trimming session and deep joy a trip to the supermarket for click and collect groceries, how lockdown has brought pleasure from such mundane chores.
I shall wish you all well and go and count the number of tiles in my bathroom.

Stay well, stay safe and today is not a good day to go skateboarding on the local motorway.

Pancake day - Yippee! Don’t forget to leave a pancake out for pancake claus and to decorate your pancake tree. I have a recipe involving ricotta and coconut milk to try - they will be more American style rather than crepes.

Art today - attempted a raven landing on a wall but the wall was more suited to humpty dumpty - nevermore! A sort of rescue, will have to do it again for homework.
Hope that everyone has a tip top Tuesday. I will now have koffy.

Really like your painting. Actually love all your paintings. It is so lovely having a virtual art exhibition every day.

I am amazed he got through the first half of the night the way he was lying and breathing...
He has always looked after me, and took over some of the Hearing Dog alerts for me when my Hearing Dog for the Deaf died. Cats can train themselves if they want. So, it looks like it is my turn now to keep an even closer eye on him...

I agree. The last art that I visited before the first lockdown was the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam with mother and one of my sisters - we got in early the first day to sit an oggle at The Night Watch.

Popeye came running up to me yesterday, leapt on the couch (where I was sitting), straight on to my legs and snuggled under the blanket, and went straight to sleep. And he has eaten his wet cat food, and some biscuits.

Was I making a 'fuss' over 'nothing'?

In Procreate. It is a bit rough. The sky need refining a bit, but I don't have the dexterity to do that now.
It was the sun, yesterday, shining through some very old coniferous trees in the massive gardens of some houses which have just been demolished.

Glad all is ok with Popeye - may be just needs a bit more shut eye with it being the winter time and the weather - I know the feeling - I can't wait to springtime/summer when hopefully we will all have a bit more spring in our step x

He is doing really well - especially as he had such a bad start in life. He was kept in a crate for 24 hours a day because he was a nightmare dog. The lovely older lady who owned him couldn't let him have the run of the house because he was so destructive.

We took him on at 10 months old. It was hard work but he turned into one of the most affectionate dogs we have ever shared our lives with and the most stubborn, especially when he wants to go in a different direction to the way that we want to walk.
