What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Very interesting readings at the moment - probably due to losing inches around my waist on the P.E. Diet. Fasting this morning and before breakfast was 6. Two hours after my usual breakfast 5.7. It definitely looks to me that there is something good happening with my liver and pancreas.

Great news about the PE diet working well for you. I think the tree pollen in Thetford Forest is minimal, mainly conifers. I tend to smell and "taste" when pollen is an issue. It is the ludicrous idea around here that one can plant trees in such small gardens and leave them alone for 2-3 decades whilst renting out property. They are now far too big and hideous. Totally out of place but you can't get a bulldozer in to solve the problem. We have had ours removed but I guess most landlords won't pay up.

Popeye was well behaved during the night. It was a very cloudy sky, so maybe the effects of the supermoon did not reach him...and I got some decent sleep, but I still need a wee bit more decent sleep, so maybe tonight!

The badger/s, however, was not well behaved in the night. And my app alerted me to all the noises he made in my garden, except I turned the phone to Do Not Disturb, so the phone simply recorded the noises and duration times on a time line which I could view when I opened up the phone. Or did I have a werewolf in my back garden last night? I am definitely not keen on going out there with a cuppa at the moment to sit on my wooden swing in the night hours to view the stars or moon...I value my legs, and am not sure how I would come off in a stand-off with a marauding badger...

A quick digital painting this morning. Trying out a different brushstroke in Procreate which calls itself a quick painting stroke, but to me looks like cogwheels, or at a stretch, a daisy effect.

So I just used that painting stroke. I am not sure about it yet, but I need to experiment again with it.

Interesting brush - wonderful colours and so organic

good evening all :)

4.6 today

was quite a mild (if a little soggy ;)) day today but the last hour it has chilled a few degrees as the wind has got up :)

Over to mum's today to pick up her shopping list ready for the weekly trip tomorrow. Not many visitors about today in the rain, just a few disconsolate looking dog walkers.

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@gennepher - pesky badger :sorry: at least mum only has moles digging in her garden here. A pleasing piece of artwork today, vibrant colours and that looks like an interesting texture brush :)

@alf_Josiah - hope everything went off well :)

@ianpspurs - good for you getting your second jab today, hope it went ok.
I've never been much of a gardener, I'm better at pruning bushes and mowing than I am at flowers :sorry:

@Krystyna23040 - sounds good :)

@dunelm - thin unsized rice paper sounds like it would be a challenge :) Your fine bird today has a wistful feel.

art bit -
I may invest in a bit of modern 'Bockingford' so I can try the difference between the old Langford stuff made by Daler and the modern made by St Cuthbert's mill in Wells. (or better still perhaps I can get a sample pack :D )

This is one of the paintings made on the original paper I was using which has some surface sizing flaws partway through the pad, not too drastic I hope (but I know they are there :sorry:)

Liking that, @geefull
A break from your norm, but nicely done, imho.

Good morning everyone from a sort of quiet before the storm start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of not the best steak in the world but at that price, pinch your nose came in at 5.4 this am

A bit of a nothing day yesterday - slobbing about and not doing much. A few sheets of rice paper ended up in the bin and I came to a grinding halt with my current book - lethargy - still, the girl in the bubble will be coming in a wee while so that get things going. Mrs Miggins went to the garage to check on a suspected slow puncture - two new tyres later!

Another bird today, very thin unsized rice paper so it got a bit wetter than I wanted. Never mind, bin day tomorrow (such fun) and I have koffy to make.

Bird picture worked well even if wetter, don't Bin it.

Hope you had a great day with girl in the bubble.

Another very good floral painting from you today. It took me awhile to find watercolour paper to my liking, I hope you find some that suits your style. For information I use Arches 300gsm Cold Pressed.

Brilliant bird @dunelm

No Ruby, it isn't just your Tuesday. Share it with the other boys and girls please. Swipey, almost 2 hrs late, showed 5.4 - very disappointing but by 11.00 pm that one is history. May not fit a replacement for a while as 2nd vaxx at midday and whatever the readings I'll learn nothing useful long term. Fish and avo salad will remain central to my fight against lc food. Good news on more sleep @gennepher pity the badger deters you from the outdoor cuppa. Hope all goes well at the Drs @alf_Josiah and the chill dog walk sparks you into gear @Krystyna23040 . We had a good ramble with the dogs in Thetford Forest yesterday. Not great for hay fever, Julie suffered more. Then my idea of a waste of an afternoon weeding around borders. No history of flowers or borders in my family. Veg, fruit, grass, chickens, pigs and good fences.Take care chums.-
Thank you @ianpspurs

The house across the road to us had two trees just like that in their front garden. They were almost 50 years old and way taller than the house. Luckily the owners have just had the tree surgeons prune them. I am not sure that prune is the right word to describe what they did as the trees are now half the size they were - thank goodness.
