Very happy!
I had a visitor from Amsterdam today, my best friend's brother and his 5 year old son, to pick up a kitten from my neighbour.
Neighbour was at work, so it was my job to introduce them to the kitten

Best friend had whispered in her brother's ear that I missed getting groceries at a good turkish supermarket since leaving Amsterdam, so I got surprised with 10 lamb merguez sausages and a very large pack of sucuk sausages!
Lunch was 2 merguez sausages on a slice of low carb bread. The sausages are long and the pieces of bread are small, but if you try hard enough you can make almost anything fit on a single slice of bread!

Evening meal was two more merguez, yesterdays leftover filled bell pepper and a quick tomato salad.
Five year old Anne had a proper adventure today, starting with a picture at the entrance of the closest village to my home. The village is called St. Anne, so the dad made a picture of him with the sign, which is totally cool when you're 5 years old.
This was then followed by an enthousiastic greeting by my two small dogs and exploring my home and my garden while I was trying to find the squash. (I didn't succeed, I'm sure I bought a bottle but it was nowhere to find. Good thing kids can drink water too.)
He got to feed my (rather large, from a 5 year old's perspective) goats, and we had a drink in the garden where Anne promptly stepped back a step too far to fall in my pond

. His father and I managed not to laugh, but it was hard.
Called my neighbour with slightly older kids for a pair of dry pants to wear on the 2 hour drive back.
Then it was off to the kitten. The neighbour with the kittens collects animal skulls and bird's feet and heads, and has lots of skins and furs from wild animals brought to him by local hunters and poachers. Anne is having a phase of being obsessed by skeletons, so in addition to the cute little kitten, we made a little tour of neighbour's home to see all the treasures there
What a lovely day!
