What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hi all

No testing as yet, one battle at a time
But it'll soon be back on the menu

Just spoke to family in Birmingham.

My cousin's daughter, recently gave birth.

Her daughter & newly born son now in hospital with covid.

Dad has it too, though self isolating at home.

And they had avoided all & been extra careful as my cousin is in the cev group .

So I'll be saying a prayer for them all tonight.

Great news about your BiL, @Krystyna23040 .:)

May his recovery be swift
Hugs @jjraak
I'll light a candle in front of my Buddha today for their recovery.

@jjraak prayers are always good. @Krystyna23040 good news on BIL and on you setting aside time to read. I have read "The Science," looked at "The Data" and discussed them both with my lunatic fringe adviser. No new advice is needed same old , same old. Elsie, tea and sport on TV after a tip run. The numbers may rise but I'm not hospitalised so I'll wash my hands, use the 5 litre antibac gel copiously and lay low waiting for vacc#4. A triumph I tell ya. Tinkerty Tonk Old fruits - (berries if you really must let the side down):angelic:

Fbg 10.1

Still tired after that vaccine reaction.

It has rained constantly over Christmas.

Don't feel like painting, so here is my photo of summer.
Hopefully good and brighter days to come.

No FBG for 25 & 26
Yesterday was 6.9
Today 6.8
Today plan is to sort the freezers, the big fridge freezer in the kitchen obviously objected to being moved and filled itself with frost. It's been levelled now and seems ok, but all that excess frost has to go.
The chest freezer outside, well neither of us knows exactly what is in there, so that's another job needs doing.
Hope you are all well and keeping safe and warm.

Good morning everyone from a mist clearing to rain type of start here in the dark and dangerous north
Cauliflower cheese last night ended up half Cheddar, half Compte and topped with blobs of something called Maroilles (soft, gooey and from Picardy evidently - ooh la la). Tres Bien and all that. Wonder if I should put some of this cheese in the freezer?
Girl in the bubble this afternoon for vocabulary update, painting, drawing, toy pram pushing and a sleep over.
Started to produce some more sketches using water spray - the ones over Christmas were prepared in advance of the visit of the ninky nonks. Hugs to those who need them, watch your fuel bills. Off for a koffy.

Morening
An 8.5 this morning, no excuses.
Today will be spent trying to recover from the excesses of the last few days.
Time for a koffy or two.
Little bit of news. I was forced to drive home in the dark from Mordor last night. First time I have driven at night for a very long time, Mrs J partook of a small amount of Polish vodka, the proper stuff and Mrs J has still not arisen from her pit / lair, yes I am enjoying the peace and quiet.
Edit
Mordor is me and me’s name for London, place of orcs and politicians and the dreaded media.

A winner for surviving the dangers oozing about in Mordor.

I love this one very much @dunelm
Two distinct different styles of techniques, but combines beautifully as one painting...

Still not gone completely down from vaccine reaction. And I still feel tired from it.

No painting today.
It is pouring with rain outside here.
So, another photograph of summer flowers from 5 years ago.
Hopefully to remind you of summer...

Good morning all. I do so hope we all have a better December 29th than Thomas Beckett did in 1170 . T'was breaking news all over the shires. Ye Olde Sky Newes went a tad OTT as some of you well remember as if it were yesterday. Oh yey, oh yey, ye beaking Newes everywhere:angelic: Yes we have no Swipey, we have no Swipey today. Actually one is all neatly boxed and ready but Post Truth is the new black these days. Swipey is influenced by many a variable - some unsuitable for here- so discerning how much is due to food and drink is often a guess. Since we are approaching Plough Sunday - Jan 9th - I best plough on:) with Elsie and pray she does what her fans claim for a while longer. @gennepher hug for ongoing vacc after effects and thanks for the magnificent photo. @Jojo85 glad you all enjoyed the zoo and took my comment in good part. Turkey dripping on (Livlife) toast produced a sleep score in the 90s - PB:woot: Obviously not the same food as Rye sourdough but a wonderful reminder of my formative years. Tinkerty Tonk od fruits.

Good morning everyone from an other dull day here in the dark and dangerous north
Pea and ham soup - that ham had to be used up and dried split peas really are less than 10 a penny.

Late breakfast yesterday, quite late as the menu changed from breakfast to lunch before my full English less the carby bits arrived. Why oh why oh why oh why is that half a sad looking tomato there? Tinned if you must not the sad remains of a forced and out of season disaster (darling). Still, the rest of it is top notch and the ambiance comes free. Royal Institute Christmas Lectures started last night on BBC4 - Jonathan Van-Tam this year with a star studded cast looking at all things viral, even how the test kits work - splendid, get the kids on your side.

More squirty water art - I am enjoying seeing how these things pan out. Have a great day if you can. Koffy is now ready to drink.

5.0 this morning. Managed to do the early morning dog walk before it started raining again. The park is so muddy now. In all the years we have lived here it has never been this muddy.
