What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.6

Yesterday two greattits came to visit. Looked like a couple searching for their next des res. The sparrows got on with them. Mrs Blackbird said 'Other side of the garden please. This side and space is mine'. Mrs Blackbird and Mr Blackbird have the huge honeysuckle and clematis bush. The little birds, sparrows, wren, and robin have various bushes and trees. So, they have the tenements.

My wee little female bluetit is still flying with the sparrows. I think she thinks she is a sparrow. A beautiful sweet male bluetit did come in and spent three days trying to win her over. But alas, my little female bluetit showed no interest at all in him. And went back to playing with the sparrows...and he left.

Creative today is using the palette knives I now have in Procreate. Also using the same base photo as yesterday. And getting a little nearer to my original vision of a few days ago.

What am I doing today?
Anything that makes me smile!

Have fun!

I love your Tales Of A Welsh Garden. How different your art is today than yesterday. This palate knife makes interesting textures especially like the sky and the tree. If that is you seeking out Popeye, he is in a pantomime; “look out behind you”.

Good morning everyone from under a splendid looking sunrise here in the dark and dangerous north.
Well, that’s the fitted wardrobes, well, fitted. A day of rest from tradespeople today - good job as we still don’t have a tradesman’s entrance and it has only been blokes so far. Next week it’s the plumber - we are living in a version of the nursery rhyme Rub-a-dub-dub. A funeral to go to this morning. No one that I know but a 100 year old veteran who will have scant presence at his open grave service if volunteers don’t turn up. Then the dangerous mission of meeting up with two of Mrs Miggins’ aunts who we have not seen in a couple of months. Daughter’s birthday also so there me some movement in that direction.
Art. I sized a sheet of rice paper last night and it looks like I may have overdone it. We will wait and see. Meanwhile another landscape in portrait. Reward yourself with a very satisfying Friday. I must make koffy while at the same time, not disturbing the girl in the bubble.

Interesting sizing experiment @dunelm
I look forward to seeing what the next sizes sheet brings...
Have a good day...

Thanks @dunelm
:)
I used to have a long black down to the ground hooded cloak like that....

A little voice says KISS (keep it simple stupid) Thanks for the creative and wonderfully observed description of the birds under your care @gennepher. @dunelm thank you for sharing your art and humour. What a wonderful act to help mark the passing of that veteran. Enjoy meeting The Aunts and your daughter's birthday. The venerable RR may or may not have a new barrel fitted to the door today - has been unlocked for a week since it literally fell out. Youngest grandson to care for then oldest to collect from school, feed and deliver even unto Stage School in Newmarket.:woot: In between, Friday is gym day. Seems to be working as I can shift more weight and extend the rage of exercises. A physio is keeping an eye on me as is the guy at the gym who designed my programme in conjunction with the physio. Salmon salad day today:woot: so LC and P:E in perfect harmony. @jjraak do we actually have any frigates and based on that story does The Truster know where the Baltic is? We watched The Fast and the Farmer-ish last night (BBC3/iplayer) suited us but YMMV. This is for all your children/grandchildren/great grandchildren. Y'all have lives to lead and I've stolen enough of your day.

A 5.1 this morning.
Yesterday I had 2 telephonic of the phone type calls, the first was can I repair a table and the 2nd was could I trim 4mm of a shelf.
I wandered up to the broken tables house for a looky see, yep repairable. One of a set of G plan nest of tables, nice, so I brought the broken table home and it now sits in my shed / workshop awaiting some tlc.
Next, the friend wandered down to Tilehurst Towers with the shelf, he is a big tea drinker and a bit of a raconteur, it took longer to make the tea amid much laughter than it did to trim the shelf, off he wandered shelf under his arm only 5minutes later to phone again could I trim 15mm of another shelf, yep bring it down, it finally transpired his son had assembled the shelves in different positions, fixed them in position and loaded them apart from non fitting shelves. Good job the weather was nice.
Today is routine liver clinic appointment, but this time it will be face to face or mask to mask. Time to yet another covid test.
Stay safe all.

5.0 this morning. Lovely sunshine but felt really cold on the morning dog walk.

Don't have to rush and get everything done today because next week is half term so I can catch up with everything then.

What a useful chap you are Alfred. I hope the test is negative and the routine liver clinic goes well. We both know that routine clinics for the management of conditions such as transplant and cancer are really not routine as commonly understood. We also know that the stress is born by Mrs A J and JKP.

A brilliant busy day yesterday @alf_Josiah
Have a successful routine appointment.

Good morning campers. fbs at 8am was 9.7. Hubby is recovering well from his first cataract operation two days ago. I am off soon for a face to face appointment with a GP about my CT scan to find out if it sheds any light on my ongoing pain and if not what next? The sun is shining here in the Midlands which is always a good start to the day. Make the most of it and the oncoming week-end wherever you are and whatever you are planning to do. Best wishes. :)

I hope and pray that some light is indeed shed on the ongoing pain. Good news that your husband is recovering well. I can never think anything but good things about you but I imagined you to be above using the term Hubby:arghh:

Top neighbour, @alf_Josiah .. good man

Yes, I'd do agree with @ianpspurs .
You chaps epitomise the resilience of many

Anything but normal to others unaffected, but in terms of where you've come from, I guess it is a step down from that defcon 1 status

Best wishes for the day :)

A miserly 6.7 thus morning

A set back

Walking as well as expected considering injury and surgery, the other day.

Unfortunate, but furry nephew stayed other night.

I find sleeping a little tricky, trying not to weigh to heavy on right leg, and unable to lay on right side (shoulder) sleeping position pretty boring .

Dog shares bed, in-between searching house at any noise .
Other night pops back into bed, I'm sound asleep but with knees together and right ankle resting on bed, so gap below .
Dog times leap right onto leg. AAGHHH.

Next morning, not so mobile..really dragged the day down..a trifle unwell, bored & pee'd off, I skip evening meal, bed early..oh the life i lead.

Still, be great numbers in morning...

Another grinding day of boredom if it wasn't for youngest nephew popping in for a chat .

So quite made up at that

Visitors AND missus cooking a Gusto meal tonight ..yay (pork belly banquet iirc)
Comes in at 84g carbs..I try for 50/60 a day.
So I'll try to be good..but life IS for living, and small pleasures are very much a part of that...so I shall eat & enjoy nom, nom, nom.:)

Life could be worse

Peace & love, people :)
