What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all on a very promising SSSF (Super Salmon Salad Friday - I will say this only once @RosemaryJackson ) Replacement Swipey is in the post so no known fbg here. @DEBBIESCOTT thank you and yesterday was most agreeable. Gym for me today - midday Friday seems to be a "low traffic" time. @Estragon back in the sixes - Benjamin Stokes like. @karen8967 good fbg, lovely meme so thanks. I've already had smiles - cheeky cuddles with granddaughter before taking her to nursery. Gym, salmon and Comic Relief to come, sunny day - very Elbow. Holy cow I love your eyes:D

8.2 yesterday and 8.8 this morning .
I've said it before but you are a superstar. You don't bury your head in the sand and shy away from testing then posting. You do the "hard yards." So much to admire and learn from. B.... love that attitude.

ignore Mysugr predictions. Most likely only averaging your recent period of ill health, and you keep rather tight BG control rest of the time. Give it another week or two and that average will be much lower. Legend!

And you got it right actual HbA1c was 44 result obtained today.

Obviously low's and high's evened out and part of the 3 months was prior to covid.

Mind you as still have CKD can't rely too much on the HbA1c.

Yes, you should test immediately on getting up. Taking a shower or any other activity will make your BG go up. :)
I'm new to testing but it's the other way round for me! FG is lower once I've done a morning jog, which makes sense to me as I assume some of it has been taken up by the muscles.

5.9 today. Still in the 5s zone, which is where I like to be. Maintaining my winning streak, just.:D. Scared me into extra hard work out at the pool, and missing breakfast to extend the fast.

Good Morning all

BSL at 8.30am was 8.1 mmol/L

I was still quite tired so I dosed of again and slept in till 11.30 my body needed that extra sleep so re-tested my BSL again before getting out of bed this time and it dropped down to

7.9 mmol/L

So reading a few posts on here I'm now wondering should I test my BSL before getting out of bed as I have a tendency to get up put the kettle on use the bathroom then test so about 15 minutes or longer has past since I got up

6.6! - That’s TWO MORNINGS in the Stickies….. AND, I went to bed on an 8.6, was dreading this mornings stabs, very happy with myself. Wow, I lost two points overnight. Something is working in my EndoSys.

5.8, higher than I’d like, but am now off my medication so definitely could be worse!
I usually have a bit of cheese before bed to counteract dawn phenomenon but last night had pistachios, need to try going back to cheese or having fewer nuts.

Crazy old guy at the back of the stands here cheering on Team D. Simply by refusing to bury your head in the sand, making the effort to control The D the best you can, testing and putting the numbers "out there" whatever the scores on the doors you've all done very well. Gym, grandchildren, Salmon Salad and sun yesterday. Apparently God loves even me.:woot:
